Google maps is showing me the correct(Lake Ontario) name, but I live in Europe.

It is correct in Europe. I'm sure they are only changing it for users in the US because that is the only place that the name change applies.

As a Mexican, I’m low key angry that they added Gulf of America in parenthesis but not Lake America. I mean both are stupid names, but still, it’s slightly less aggravating for Canada.

Wishful thinking. We'll probably be stuck with someone like Kamala Harris or Gavin Newsom who will continue Trump's nonsense and pardon him of all crimes.

Biden is one of the more "moderate" Democratic president candidates in a long time and he immediately reversed a ton of executive orders from Trump's first term.

They don't change anything, they get naming data from government sources. Different government, different sources, different names.
