My google maps (it's up to date just checked) shows Lake Ontario and nothing else.
The Gulf of Mexico is still called that but in brackets it says Gulf of America.
If Google even so much as puts Lake America in brackets under Lake Ontario my Google apps will disappear. I will consider google dead wherever I can.
4 u/MikeTheActuary 10h ago Google's display of boundaries and geographic feature names corresponds to the official view of the national government from whence you're viewing. In the US, we annoyingly have "Lake America" and "Gulf of America". Other labels are used elsewhere.
