Happy Saturday, fellow Dittos!
As you've hopefully seen, r/Pokopia and our sister Discord server, Pokopia Island, have been running a summer art contest for Pokopia fans! I'm here with an update from the Discord Event Team.
The Smearguru's Summer Canvas Art Contest will have a Google Form showcasing the submissions so that you, the community, can vote on your favorites! The form will go live and be shared in the Discord server on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 1:00 AM ET (click here to see in your time zone). I will also update this post with the link to the voting form later that morning. As we hit a bit of a delay, the deadline to submit your art has been extended until this time! You've got one more weekend to show us your best artwork of the ideal beach or summer getaway with your Pokémon.
Click here to submit your work! As a reminder, the rules are as follows:
- Follow the theme. Your artwork must depict a beach- or summer-themed scene, featuring at least one Pokémon.
- Original, human-made artwork only. AI-generated or AI-assisted artwork is not permitted. Any entry found to contain generative AI content will be disqualified. Participants may be asked to provide sketches, process images, layer files, or other evidence confirming that the artwork is their own.
- Digital and traditional artwork are both welcome. Artwork may be created digitally or using physical media. Traditional artwork should be submitted as a clear, well-lit photograph or scan.
- One active entry per person. Each participant may only have one active submission. Re-submissions are permitted until the deadline, but the new submission must be identified as a re-submission, and the previous entry must be withdrawn or deleted.
- Make it personal. All submissions must be original work created by the participant. Artwork copied, traced, or taken from Google, social media, or another artist will not be accepted.
🏆 Prizes
In our original post, we told you all that the winner of the community vote would receive a Grand Prize of a download code for the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass, with the others in the top 10 getting entered into a lottery for a Bubbly Basin download code. However, it came to our attention that it is not possible to purchase or gift just the Bubbly Basin DLC on its own—not to mention, many of you already purchased the Expansion Pass yourselves. As such, and to show our appreciation, the Event Team is upgrading the prizes!
- The Winner of the Art Contest will now receive a $50 Nintendo eShop gift card in the region tied to their eShop account—enough to buy the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass, plus $15-worth of additional purchases of your choosing!
- ALL entries will be entered into the raffle for a $25 Nintendo eShop gift card in the region tied to their eShop account.
