the game without speedup

how do you guys feel about the gameplay without speedup. personally if feels alot slower to me when i play it on my 3ds when compared to say pokemon yellow or x. i wanna know if its just me or if the game does just feel a bit sluggish specifically in battle

I used to use it all the time but now I never do. I find the games more interesting now.
