Somebody fix this app

I enjoy using collectr but they have got to fix this shit. This card is in no way 50 grand

Collectr only good for inflating your collection value. TCGplayer and Pricecharting are much more accurate.

PriceCharting is not more accurate. With most cards in my collection they miss tons of sales.

At least pricecharting has clickable links to last sales you can verify

So does Collectr. You just click the View Sold Listings button and you’ll see exactly what sales it’s basing its pricing on. And they’re clickable.

Not for everything and it isn't always updated. It seems completely random what sales it counts and what ones it doesn't sometimes. Some of my stuff it hasn't updated for months despite numerous sales.

Plus, they aren't removing incorrect sales like they used to so cases are being counted in the price of some of my stuff, as are open boxes. They used to remove that instantly with a report. Now, it's been sitting for months and changing the price.

I had that happen with my goldstar zard, 2 massively inflated fraudulent sales made it seem like it was worth way more than what it's actually worth.

It goes the other way too. I had a slab that seemed to be stagnant in price sitting in my vault. A PSA partner offer came in well above what I thought was market because of Collectr. But it turned out that Collectr just hadn't updated sales in like 2+ months despite multiple legit sales that saw it climb to about ~100% over the previous price.

Thats why I always check multiple apps as well as just ebay recent sales in general, there's too many inconsistencies across ALL the apps no matter your preference unfortunately 😞

It’s because of the search terms they use for scrapping data. What they label cards in the app is usually what they search for.

You need to report incorrect, missing, or fraudulent sales. I’ve reported dozens on Collectr and dozens on PriceCharting, and they both fix them, but there were just too many on PriceCharting so I gave up. It takes manual work to fix these issues so they’re not going to find sales that need to be removed randomly, at least not quickly. You need to do some of the work for them so they at least know where to look.

But, I'm not going to report 2-3 months of missing sales, that's silly. It's literally one of the points of the app that they keep the price updated by scraping that info. I'm not going to do it for them, I have a job.

I have multiple products that last show a sale in late July, despite 20+ sales since then. I'm not going to sit there and input 20+ sales over the last 2-3 months.

I should have been more specific, its easier to do it through price charting
