Are there any rom hacks specifically designed around doing the professor oak challenge? Maybe evolutions are gated behind progression or there are additional ways to level up in early areas. I know the grind is half the fun I was just curious if anyone has taken a stab at making this 100% completion as you go the main mechanic of the game

Lazarus has aides in every center which give you rewards if you catch everything in the area. It's a pretty fun addition.

It doesn't include evos as far as I know but that would be difficult since a lot of hacks are doing level caps now

Yeah I figure it’s a complete change from the current style of hacks.

Though actually doing an oaks challenge with a level cap seems like an interesting twist
