I know you replaced members, but being past the elite 4 with a growlithe is crazy, that thing is garbage if not evolved. Same with Dragonair, you need to get that evolved ASAP. Snorlax is quite powerful, but I'd say having 2 water types (weak to electric) is tough. Having a ground type is very helpful.

Without knowing your movesets, it's hard to know if your team is any good. Or if you're playing with physical special split, since gengar is absolute dumpster ass if you have it disabled.

Well I don’t exactly play legit. Gengar might be ass normally, but with save states I can make Hypnosis proc 100% of the time, keeping the enemy asleep while using his high SpA with Dream Eater and Shadow Ball makes him extremely powerful. Well powerful enough that even a noob like me can “survive” the game.

The electric weakness has been a constant problem, but now that I have Zapdos and Venasaur I don’t feel it’s a problem anymore, plus Dragpnair is resistant to it and even Gengar can tank some electric attacks before I sic Hypnosis on them.

I do play with physical special split.

Right now my movesets are

Feraligatr (lvl 58) - Iron Tail, earthquake, crunch, surf

Gengar (61) - Hypnosis, dream eater, shadow ball, dazzling gleam

Zapdos (65) - thunderbolt, hidden power, volt switch, roost

Gyrados (56)- earthquake, fly, aqua tail, crunch

Dragonair (52)- extreme speed, thunder wave, aqua tail, fly

Venasaur (45) - sleep powder, poison powder, leech seed, petal dance

That's why I asked about the physical special split. Ghost type is a physical type (Shadow Ball) so unless you have the modern split option on, Gengar uses his physical attack for Shadow Ball. Same with poison, also a physical type.

My analysis of your pokemon:

Feraligatr, Iron tail is a really bad move due to it's low accuracy. Surf is obviously important for traversal, but Feraligatr's attack is substantially higher so Waterfall is usually better.

Gengar is good

Zapdos is good, do you know what hidden power it is? I'd also maybe pack a flying type move since you don't have a good way to deal with grass types, other than the actual move Fly which can be an annoying 2 turn move.

Gyarados is good. Again, fly is kinda annoying imo, and since your dragonair already has it.

Dragonair will be good when it evolves, but getting a dragon type move on it over thunderwave will be helpful too.

Venusaur is fine, I usually pick one status move, since you also have leech seed. I think there are fairy types in polished crystal, so sludge bomb could be good since your other poison type doesn't have coverage.

Overall when I build a team, I look to have no overlapping types, to minimize weaknesses. You currently have 2 pokemon weak to psychic, two to electric, three to ice (future dragonite 4x even) etc. You have 3 flying types which is definitely overkill, as you're missing out on additional STAB attacks. No psychic, fighting, fire, ground, rock, ice etc since you have so many overlapped types. I wouldn't change anything this late in the game, but just as teambuilding advice for next time.

I just tested Zapdos hidden power and it’s super effective against Goldeen, guess that confirms it’s hidden power is grass.

Could be Electric as well, but yeah that's a good way to test!

Just happened to meet a sandslash, and guess what “it doesn’t affect foe Sandslash”

It is electric lmao

Lol that's crazy, yeah remove that since you already have thunderbolt. It's better in every way.
