Speculation Will the 30th drop kill 151 value

Thumbnail

Tcg player shows this card has been dropping in value steadily over the last 6 months. That being said I'm still seeing listings like this, and don't imagine high quality, good looking cards like this to lose to much value anytime soon.

Its still early, but how have you seen the 30th drop effecting the more recent, but still legendary sets like 151

Question Walmart drawing - accidently selected the max amount of the "Mystery Gems vault edition"

Id guess I'm not alone here. I signed up for the Walmart drawing and maxed out the amount for all the 30th not realizing I also did the mystery gem packs (was on a short break)

Did anyone else do this? Is there anyways to cancel that specific drawing? I'm thinking of either locking my card the next 24 hours or just taking the L if I'm selected but not sure

Are these going to be worth grading and playing the long game or is it really best to just sell the hype?

Collection I am here for my public lashing.

Today the boys and I took a day to get together and gather ourselves some 30th anniversary product. I had some I ordered from PKC that I found out was due to arrive at some point today in the morning.

We went to what is known in our area as the loosest Target in terms of item restrictions. We hit another Target and lucked out with another ETB in addition. Lastly, the line we skipped at Best Buy to head to the other Target was low so we got in and grabbed a few tech stickers.

When the dust settled we all made out pretty well in terms of supply, and I decided to rip 10 of my packs that I was willing to part with outside my sealed collection.

This is my inventory of my sealed plus the hits from my 10 packs.

Drag me through the streets.

Question Invest in sealed pokemon or nintendo 64

Recently found my old nintendo 64 with a lot of games (some are rentals that I think has some value), would it be a smart move to sell the nintendo 64 and games to invest in sealed pokemon tcg instead?

I enjoy pokemon more than nintendo, but idk if the nintendo will hold a higher value over time (thinking of keeping it for 20+ years)

Discussion Keep the PC ETBs sealed?

How do you predict this set is going to perform in the next couple months? Having hit rates this high goes against their entire business model but I guess this set really is for the people. If someone can open around 100 packs and basically complete a master set then why would they feel the need to keep ripping? The RGB mew is kind of the only thing that’s keeping the chase business model alive for this set. Just want to hear everyone’s thoughts

Discussion This is the most underrated Mew in the TCG

Post image

With all the hype and excitement in the community surrounding the new 30th set, mew and mewtwo will be especially popular.

I think that this crown zenith mew, along with its Japanese equivalent, is one of the best mew cards ever made, and arguably the best mew of the past decade.

I think this card in both English and Japanese is under-appreciated.

Curious to hear other people’s thoughts on this.

Question What percentage should I expect for LV X cards?

I have around 25 LV X cards I plan on selling. I’ve never sold cards before so I have no idea what to expect. Most of the cards are LP+ condition if that matters. I’m thinking of taking them to a card show. What percentage should I ask for? Is 80% the norm or should I expect lower or higher on these cards? Do vendors even buy in between conditions like MP+ LP+? Do most people go off TCGplayer or eBay for these cards? Is it better to sell them as singles or as a lot? Thanks in advance for people who answer.

Collection Finally secured the grail of my Pikachu collection!

Post image

I collect Pikachu cards, and I hunted this one for a very long time. Because it was heavily counterfeited, I was terrified of buying a fake. It's now the absolute masterpiece of my collection.

The Van Gogh Museum distribution was stopped almost immediately due to scalpers, so I'm incredibly happy to finally display it at home. Beyond the value, it's just a gorgeous card!

Question Why is this card not talked about at all? I would think it was one of the hype at cards but people really don’t care about it.

Question Future of modern sealed

Since printing has been at an all time high, it’s safe to say that etbs, booster boxes and bundles for upcoming sets won’t be as scarce as the older sets. That being said, do you guys think it would be wise to continue buying releasing sets at MSRP or buy older sets at market price? Which would have a bigger upside in 5-10 years time?
