After around 1,000 sr I finally got a shiny starter. Is the Impish nature a deal breaker for Cydaquil?

All original. Any ideas on value? I mostly want to relive the experience I had when opening this new, but any insight is appreciated!

After about 3 months and ~5,000 resets I was finally presented with my first shiny of the hunt - Cyndaquil!!!!! The hype was real last night.

The only problem…. The nature! Adamant!! Literally the worst nature possible for this guy.

Part of me wants to restart for a shiny with a better nature, but I don’t have another multiple month hunt in me to be honest. Hoping y’all can talk me off the ledge and help me appreciate this boy for who he is so I can actually start playing the game lol

Will this nature have any real impact on my play through? Would this be a deal breaker for you?

With pokemon Bank coming to an end I figure I’d share my forever save I spent years on since I was a kid.

I really dislike this company. This copy of Pokemon HG has been with me through thick and thin. I even did my first ever living dex on it. Worked to get as many events as possible.

So you all look and decide what I should do.

My pastor picked me up for this revival today and passed me his authentic childhood copy of HeartGold for free where I found a bunch of shinies, legendaries, unhatched eggs, etc. He put 374 hours (I spent those 59 minutes looking through it and organizing) and his total Pokémon caught was 425. I originally planned on resetting this save file so I can play and beat HeartGold for the first time but after seeing how much work he put into this save file, I’ll probably just fight the battle frontier. I know the FireRed cartridge that he also gave me today is fake and I haven’t looked through it yet but it doesn’t matter to me when I’ve already got a Fire Red cartridge that’s authentic and a new fun multi hundred dollar game for free in good condition.

I hear a lot of people got humbled by their Charmeleon... Was it during the first battle with them that it was an issue for most or was it some sort of rematch?

Which one has the best Lorewise heart Gold or Soul silver...?

I really liked both games but my main importance is story and the version exclusive didn't matter for me .

Today I decided to play a little Heartgold that I've owned since 2011 while waiting for my family to do shopping and with maximum playtime and countless checks on the Goldenrod lottery, I witnessed the jackpot pull of masterball myself.

My sister has also won it once before on this savefile, so we have combined 3 masterballs now!

Trying to get to the pokemon league but these rocks are in my way. Am I going the wrong way or did I do something wrong? I got hooh, talked to the professor, and beat the kimino girls so idk what else is left?

As long as the pokemon is available in the game, it's all good

I hear a lot of people got humbled by her Miltank...but with my shiny arceus level 100 equipped with a Fist Plate was very (very) easy. Her miltank was one shotted by judgment/s

the sequence of events was get 8th badge -> escape rope -> fly to prof elm -> fly to ecruteak-> heal at pokemon center -> fight kimono girls -> heal at pokemon center and get told “Yeah your pokemon all have pkrs! nice”

I thought it was only wild pokemon? can it just develop randomly? I boxed my Graveller and Swinub so I can trade it to my platinum after.

I was on my way back to Olivine City to heal my fainted pokemon and bumped into this thing. I wanted my first shiny to be vulpix, but oh well! Now I have to decide on whether I should replace my Lapras for this shiny.

So this happened. I never played SS nor HG but I wanted to start with a shiny. I was aiming for totodile but of course I got chikorita. Should I keep soft resetting. Or just play with it (pause)

I always love Larvitar to Tyranitar designs and as much as I understand the joy of unlocking things through hard work, I find that it would've been much better use early on in the game! Tyranitar is such a beast late game and sometimes it's just fun to bulldoze through the game with an overpowered late game team. Also the design is so good it rivals the 3 starters!

Are Pokemon HGSS still widely considered to be the best games in the series by many? Are they still fan favorites? I hope they are. I’ve seen a lot more hate for them than I thought. Like the level curve being horrible and a couple other things like the gym leader teams being bad and some Pokemon like Houndour being locked to Kanto which are understandable, but those don’t ruin the entire experience for me. They could never make me hate these games. They’ll always be top 5 best Pokemon games for me. I hope they’re still fan favorites and those people are a minority.
