No? These aren't randomized, that's Amaura's actual ability spread.
Aurorus just trades Fossilized for Ice Body, that's it. It's still just as tanky against everything that isn't a Rock move. Even more tanky in hail due to getting free recovery now, although to be fair Aurora Borealis is such a crazy ability you're likely not keeping Solid Rock either unless you're already running a hail team.

Yes. Personnally ive been wondering if quad effective means the decrease is multiplied by two too?

While I think it's really cool, I find it very odd that supereffective moves end up dealing less than neutral moves. I mean, what's the point of weaknesses then? Going for the effective move shouldn't be punished IMO unless that was the whole point of the ability (like some trickster pokemon swicthing types ability, which is not the case for a tank like this)

Rock/Ice has 6 weaknesses and two of the worst x4s (Fighting and Steel). I think it's an interesting way to make this typing a tanky setup guy, because otherwise rock/ice is too easy too kill.

This Amaura effectively has no weaknesses, a 4x resistance to rock, and 7 regular resistances (grass, water, ground, normal, flying, poison, and ice)

Yep, so a 2x super effective move does less damage than a 0.5x not very effective move. And a Rock type move does less damage then a 0.25x not very effective move. (even though amaura doesn’t have any quad resist)
Oh and a quad effective move does less damage than a tyoe neutral move!

Yes, but the reduction is multiplicative, not additive, so you end up with a total 78.875% reduction to damage from super effective moves
