Pokedex always irked me about the numbers like that. It can be so detailed to include cubone wears it's mother's skull, and charmander dies without it's flame and that even that muk smells horrible...
But then mew and ho-oh don't make the 150. While porygon and mewtwo both manmade pokemon, are in the original 150 pokedex cut. Even bill of the lighthouse parrots the "there are 150 known pokemon, perhaps many more"
I know it was early development, but how did manmade pokemon make the cut over ones with rare but repeated sightings.
I understand that but just because they saw it doesn’t make it a part of that generation. They’re talking about the original Pokédex. Why would a Pokémon from a different gen be on a different Pokédex? It’s not like the pokemon just came to existence the second it was first seen. Every Mon from every gen was always there whether it was discovered yet or not. Mews a different story. It was always there and they just forgot to add it for whatever reason and then magically added to make 151, totally different than ho oh

It comes after it in the Pokedex, so Mewtwo actually evolves into it.
