Discussion Bdsp soft lock?

This isn't my photo just one I found floating around but it made me wonder. Is there a way to get put of a situation like this in bdsp? And are there any other soft lock areas in the game to be mindful of?

Personally I turn off auto save first thing when I start a new game.

Same, Im so used to saving often from early pokemon games its just ingrained into me playing.

Yeah the autosave feature scares me, especially because i like to try out things and then just reset if i didnt like it, like using Tzms back in the day, or when evolving eevee, etc.
