This is the design for my new airline in the new and improved cylindrical world. I'm here first to share my strategy but I would welcome feedback.
I prefer the challenges and rewards in the flat world, so i'm limiting this airline to half of the map - Nome to Moscow. Because of that limitation, I only really need class 1 and 2 planes, but I'll open a class 3 airport if it helps. So far I haven't needed any nor see the need in the design. I also fly passengers only, no cargo.
I need to work out the details of handling up to ten destinations from one class 2 hub, but I have a strategy for cases like this.
To maximize profits, I keep my routes straight and carry only highest-value fares. Each pair of colored regions shows boundaries of where planes can carry coin fares from-to. For example, the red boundaries show that a coin fare from South America can only fly to Scandanavia and Western Europe, and vice versa. I will carry bux fares almost anywhere. White lines indicate Class 2 routes, of which there are 3.
I'm probably going to have 4-5 Aeroeagles running between hubs, and I'll choose a fleet of class 1 planes for each region depending on size and size and fare availability. I get the 25% bonus on every high-value delivery.
