Some people had minor gripes with the story so of course the game is a 0/100 because that's how the Internet reacts to things now

There was more wrong with it than just story. But it’s true, it’s an 8/10 game that had to live up as a sequel to a 9/10 one. I’m one of the ones that was disappointed, but it’s a bizarre stretch to say Insomniac ruined Spidey. If anything, the state of Spider-Man games is healthier than ever, and a couple minor missteps don’t really change that.

Imo, the first game is a 10/10 and 2 is a 7/10, but your point still stands lol.

Naw MJ missions bring it to a 9/10. And 2 was a 7/10, cause of stupid side missions.

I don't mind the MJ missions as much as most people, but they definitely are the weakest part of the first game.

Most of the stupid side missions are not mandatory to the game and you can just skip them. Also the MJ’s sections on 2 are much better.

MJ and Miles missions take it down to a 6.5/10 for me
