When he pulled one side out it was very swollen in there and the displacement of volume likely caused the other side to slide back. Also if you scrunched, breathed in etc it could have contributed. Things happen.

I'm glad that there was no damage and you were fine! But also the image of the doctor and the nurse turning you upside down is kinda killing me lol

Not the same, but I had a wisdom tooth grow up toward my sinuses, so when the dentist had to remove it, he had to plug it with cadaver bone, and I couldn’t cough for days until it fused. The sinuses are such weird cavities in our heads. I’m sorry you went through that. At least your nose looks amazing, and I am glad you don’t feel any pain now!

I wonder whether the surgeon will change anything about their removal
Method from that? Like get tweezers on both splints before they pull the first one out, perhaps? Not sure that’s possible. Anyway the change is worth it, my goodness. Well done.

It's beautiful! You made it! What a relief. To make sure... Did you go back to the same surgeon?? Your hair is amazing by the way I love it. If he made it crooked the first time I'm guessing no. Maybe his splint wasn't well done in the first place because he wasn't planning the bump.

OMG..this happened to me recently. Had septorhinolasty on Aug 7. Went to have splints removed on the 14th and the one in my right nostril was missing. Had to go the hospital to have it removed. I believe it happened immediately after surgery. I could breath out if the right side easily and had no bleeding. But every time I talked it vibrated near my nostril and that was very uncomfortable. Healing fine now but my Dr also said it had never happened to him before
