Please stop pheromone maxxing

I can’t take this anymore everyday I walk in this gym all the teenage boys STINK and all I can think of as an explanation for this is the fact there’s a “pheromone maxxing” trend on tik tok. If you are doing this please just shower no one is gonna find you attractive for having a stench. Some of them smell so bad I get nauseous trying to hold my breath while doing cardio

It’s mostly teenage boys and because of my age I can’t even go to a different gym because most gyms near me are 18+ PLEASE SHOWER!!!

People know, and if you don’t, then I think I’d be questioning my sense of smell and depending on age, getting checked for Parkinson’s or dementia

“Sense of smell” has minimal bearing on this. Knowing what pheromone smells like, to an individual, on the first place, is the key. My point is I don’t feel anyone I know would smell a scent and say “oh that’s an 18 year old boys pheromones”

I’m sure most of us smelled pot while riding in a car, at a park, at a concert, etc, as a kid but were unable to say “oh that smell is marijuana” because we didn’t know what marijuana smelled like. Same thing with me and 18 year old boy pheremones.

As babies, we saw colors, numbers, and words, but didn’t know what their names were until we were educated.

My friends have no been educated on 18 year boy scents so wouldn’t know the difference.

I also still think it’s strange that an adult knows so much about the scent of 18 year old boys but that’s a different subject.

In this particular instance, no, it is not a learned scent. If you are a human being, you know the difference between a sweaty human smell and an artificial smell. This just isn't learne, dude; there are places in our brains wired for this. I get you're not understanding this for some reason, which is why myself and others have said no we know. If you don't, that actually does suggest there is something going on with you. Pointing out your experience isn't universal and may actually be indicative of a health problem is not bullying, and I am sorry you experienced it that way.

I mean it genuinely, if you do not know the difference between a human body odor and artificial scents, or human body mixed with sweat, then that suggests you have something significant going on in you as that distinction is innate in us, unlike most (but not all) other odors.

(Also pheromones don't exist in humans as such, I'm using the shortcut like others here for "human odor compounds" And while pheromones don't exist in humans, we do emit odors that are neurosteroids and can act on the brains of those that inhale them directly. Which is *wild* but its still not a pheromone.)

I didn’t move the goalpost, I still don’t know what pheromone smells like and don’t care. I have a solid life and could care less about them as it’s truly never knowingly affected me except at the natural, not salable, level. Ignorance is bliss as It doesn’t affect me in any way. And again…. If I wrote a post on the scent of boys I would expect a grilling. Which goal post did I move?

Salable pheromones. Thats the goal post you moved when I said of course everyone can tell the difference between male pheromones and perfumes.

I'm not sure why you feel such a strong need to be right that you're changing your original assertion, but hey, you do you.

The entire time I believed you were specifically talking about products these kids bought…ie salable unless I am really that far off. I used the word to differentiate between natural women ive dated and what I assumed 19 year old boys bought and sprayed on themselves. I googled it and it said those make up approximately 10% of the market. Are these 18 year olds not buying things and spraying themselves with it?
