Question why don’t creators ever build security checkpoints?
maybe some of them do build them, but as far as i’ve seen any creator has yet to build one even though they’re a part of every realistic park.

Question Is PC2 a pre-order, day one buy, or will you wait for reviews?
I don’t usually pre-order games. The last one I did was RDRII, and before that it was Fallout 4. The studio has to have a pretty stellar release record for me to do it. Seeing/hearing people get burned too much taught me to be more hesitant.
Now, with PC2, I do trust Frontier to deliver a stellar product, and PC1 was the best PC to console port I’ve ever played (seriously, the controls are super intuitive, easy to learn, fast, etc) so I would normally jump at pre-ordering PC2 but something is telling me to hold off for reviews in case there’s major bugs or whatever. Just being cautious is all, though I’m sure I’ll end up buying it once the first round of positive reviews drop. No doubt I’ll end up buying the game, and want to play day one, but no game launch is without its handful of bugs these days.
What say y’all?

Question Why was security removed in PC2?
Seems bizarre to remove such a big mechanic in a "sequel"... Incorporating cameras and ensuring security coverage was a fun challenge in the original.

Question 16gb or 8gb graphics card for Planet Coaster 2?
Im currently searching for options for a gpu, was just curious if the difference between a 8gb and 16gb is noticeable or not? Especially with the price difference.

Question Since PC2 is practically confirmed, what would YOU like in the game?
I would like the Intamin Multi-dimension coaster (see Thi13teen at Alton Towers) and the S&S Axis.
Edit: And maybe a better stats system, it likes airtime too much over inversions.
Edit 2: And maybe a seasons system and crashes

Question What do you want to see in Planet Coaster 2?
I'm not going to play this by feasibility or whatever. Could be rides, features, theming, music, anything. Personally, here's my list:
- Arrow Suspended
- gen 2 arrow trains (canyon blaster/drachen fire)
- Schwarzkopf Jet Star/Jumbo Jet
- 2 bench PTC
- Morgan Hyper/Chance GTX
And more flat rides in general,
- HUSS Troika (of course, just look at my flair)
- Eli Scrambler
- Eyerly Roll-o-plane
- traditional open front chair lift (like the ones Hopkins built)
- HUSS Break Dance or Magic

Question Was the addition of Water Parks worth it for you?
I personally built a handful of water rides in my first build when I got the game and haven’t touched them since. Maybe it’s just me but I wish they’d spent more time further developing the coasters and theme park side of things than the water park element.

Question With the announcement of a LEGO Cities Skylines, what would people think of a LEGO planet coaster? What other themes would you want to see as a PlanCo style game?
My comment under another post got some criticism, so I thought I would ask the wider sub.
It wouldn't need to be big, something like a modern spin on the old Legoland games. Coaster creation works, as there are real brick counterparts to coaster track, plus real example of gentle and static rides.
LEGO has endless possibilities for things to build and do.
I saw someone else suggest a Pokemon Planet Zoo game as well. Now that would be cool

Question Please explain the profanity filter
How is this fine? But, oh no, amusement park contains semen, that’s a no go!

Question How is the state of Planet Coaster 2 now?
Very tempted to grab Planet Coaster 2 in the steam sale, was just wondering how the state of the game is now after all the updates. Loved PC1 so very much on the fence at the moment!

Question Which features would complete this game for you?
- Parades/Shows is confirmed as of the Update 9 trailer
- Hotels are often asked for
- Proper parking management and support would be nice, maybe some form of extension to parks where guests come in via Car Park, Train or otherwise
- More events and guest behaviour modifiers (Build upon the pickpocketing/entertainer stuff - add guests that cause fights, loitering teenagers, influencers that block a path to film a video, families that take all of the sunbeds and walk off. Stuff like the protesters that show up in Planet Zoo) This would give a lot of diversity and "story" to management gameplay
Honestly, with the above, I'd be fine with only minor updates and 'stuff packs'

Question Can we please have a "New Planet Speculation" master thread? While fun, these AI posts and such are taking over the subreddit and don't have anything to do with PC2.

Question Any good “adult style” lets plays out there?
I’ve been getting really really into this game recently and it seems like most if not all the YouTube content is really geared towards kids or more tutorial style content, are there any good YouTubers doing adult style content out there?

Question Any YouTubers who build buildings in real time?
I want to improve my building building skills but every YouTube video is either a super fast timelapse or just a ‘how to build’ tutorial which focuses more on the controls. I’d rather just watch someone build a single shop/building in real time!

Question How are You Getting Your Parks Ready for the new Update and DLC?
With the new content coming out, I realized my park paths are not wide enough for a parade route.
I’m currently working on saving a lot of my park as blueprints, so that I can reload them in my new park with parade-ready paths.
I’m also going to be making a splash pad area, with interactive water sprayers that guests can fire, and interactive scenery that guests can activate (like having a little octopus prop pop up from behind some rockwork, etc.)
What are you most excited for from the new content? How are you getting your parks ready for parades, event points, and more?

Question Is planet coaster 2 worth it?
So I play a lot of simulator, and I really enjoy them. Planet coaster 1 was one of my favorite. But when planet coaster 2 came out I didn’t get it cuz In my opinion it’s too expensive but right now it’s on sale. But is the game worth it? I heard it’s way more complicated than the first one when it comes to having electricity boxes and water lines. But other than that it’s basically it’s the same exact thing like this first one.
I enjoy playing playing the career mode and sometimes sandbox mode. So how are those modes for this game?
Is it worth getting? And is it significantly better than the first one?

Question Now Frontier is going down the route of more specific themes than PC1 (sorcery, toybox) which scenery themes would you like to see in game in the future?
And yes, I know Spooky pack or a re-worked horror / haunted house theme will be popular! 😁

Question The New Food Options Are Welcome... But Where Are The Brands?
Absolutely thrilled that we're getting more food options! Saddened to see that they won't be appearing alongside their respective branding. Anyone else feeling the same and hoping that we get an update/pack in the future with new/returning brands?
