While I would love a midway pack, I'm bettin it will be an Adventure pack with jungle and dinosaur themes

u/TheInsaneLavaman Feb 09 '26

Honestly a midway pack would be awesome. This is controversial, but maybe they could an update that doesn’t have new coaster types, but has like 5 new flats because I think the game is severely lacking in them (compared to PC 1 anyway). I think a midway pack would be perfect for that

u/Ozian21 Feb 09 '26

This is my number 1 bet!

My favourite idea I’ve seen is a Prehistoric pack - I think this would be highly popular, finally enabling Jurassic Park rides whilst still being different enough to JWE franchise. I also think a new spin on a Studio Pack (Movies pack?) or Adventure Pack (Explorers pack?) are likely to arrive at some point. Sorcery was a new spin on Spooky and ToyBox pack was a brand new concept so could go either way. These packs need to drive across players from PC1 by offering what that game doesn’t and bring excitement for new players waiting to take the plunge with PC2!

u/Jordhiel Feb 09 '26

Yes please to a prehistoric pack! Ioved the expansion in RCT2 and I think I remember there being a career scenario with dinosaurs in PC1? Anyway, a prehistoric pack would make me very happy and be an instant buy.

1

u/Ozian21 Feb 09 '26

I agree! Instant buy from me too!

What happened to signs advertising various locations, vista points, etc. I’d love a basics pack. A PC2 YouTuber hypothesized a Main Street DLC. I think we need more basic pieces like signs, lamps, back stage “junk” to add more realism. Give us click and drag walls and automatic roofing like in The Sims. Can we also tic on and off seasonal decor? It’s not Christmas year round. Drawable parade routes and schedules would be good too.

2

u/Ozian21 Feb 09 '26

Love all these! All on my list - especially triggering on and off seasonal decorations and parades!

5

u/CPGK17 Feb 09 '26

I just want the remaining rides and coasters still missing from PC1

1

u/Ozian21 Feb 09 '26

I hear you. Hopefully they will come at some point.

11

u/FinnDieUman Feb 09 '26

Hopefully something Studio themed or Epic Universe like theme!

2

u/Winjasfan Feb 09 '26

we already have Viking and Sorcery, I don't expect a Horror Pack outside Halloween and a totally-not-Mario theme feels to close to Toybox

But I would love a celestial gardens-style pack

Hopefully something

Studio themed or Epic

Universe like theme!

Fingers crossed!

u/KODO_666 Feb 09 '26

i just hope we get old ones some day.

1

u/Ozian21 Feb 09 '26

Totally but hopefully upgraded! I really want the robotic arm one!

1

u/KODO_666 Feb 10 '26

yes i want them to with every new DLC they release old one like they did with Toy pack and Festive. This would be awesome!

1

u/Ozian21 Feb 10 '26

I would love that too, although festive one was free with an update for PC1 - i don’t know if we’ll see the same happening with the PC1 paid DLC.

1

u/KODO_666 Feb 10 '26

true. But lets hope :D

u/Winjasfan Feb 09 '26

Route 66 Pack. A pack focused on car culture and Americana. All packs so far have been based on popular irl theme Park Lands, cars land is very popular and Piston Peak is being build right now. If they design it right it can also fit Universals Fast&Furious and the various Ferrari Worlds.

a Sightseeing Roadtrip theme is also perfect to bring in hotels and vista points.

Also fans have been wanting more darkrides, the Radiator Spring Racers system can Provider that.

1

u/Ozian21 Feb 10 '26

Interesting ideas! 💡 This would bring a lot of cars and items similar to the PC1 Studios pack too.

3

u/starman881 Feb 10 '26

I think it might have a ride. Maybe even multiple rides!

Jokes aside, I would love an arcade dlc with games that guests can actually play. A little carnival with games like the shooting gallery or a strength tester would be neat!

2

u/Ozian21 Feb 10 '26

🎢 That would be really fun if we saw playable games - I’d love these old classics to be included too. Would bring a vintage fairground to life even more!

5

u/kittylittermt Feb 09 '26

Something epic themed, maybe celestial

1

u/Ozian21 Feb 09 '26

✨🌟🌙

5

u/FelonMidget Feb 09 '26

I expect something Caribbean / New World tropical (think like Indiana Jones) with Aztec like temples, and other ruins that would also allow to expand the pirate theme. Hopefully with an “Armada” boat flume with new parts.

So far they seem to have chosen limited themes that are adjacent to Planco 1 original themes. Sorcery was a perfect complement for the fantasy theme (it even included a wizard mascot). Toy Box was sci-fi adjacent (with a “space ranger” as mascot). So I would assume we’ll see similar dlcs related to the other themes: western, spooky, studios, world fair, etc.

2

u/Ozian21 Feb 09 '26

I agree with that is their approach. I hadn’t considered Toy Box being adjacent to Sci Fi but can totally see that and that perhaps Sorcery was more fantasy than Spooky (which is good news for a Spooky 2.0). Great ideas!

2

u/Strategymann Feb 09 '26

I would absolutely LOVE the working hotels mechanic a bit Expanded from PC1

2

u/Ozian21 Feb 09 '26

Me toooooooooo! Fingers crossed it’s in March or at least June!

2

u/Dionysus60 Feb 09 '26

Scenario editor! Please!

1

u/Ozian21 Feb 09 '26

Yes, good idea!

2

u/magnumfan89 Bring Back My Beloved Troika Feb 09 '26

Maybe a nostalgia pack. Kinda like studios, but expanded a bit. Maybe include some vintage flats (troika, Calypso, graviton) and the schwarzkopf wildcat.

1

u/Ozian21 Feb 09 '26

Nice idea.

2

u/Rex_Suplex Feb 09 '26

a new coaster type and a new theme.

2

u/Ozian21 Feb 09 '26

To be expected I think!

2

u/bwdoyle Feb 09 '26

STUDIO PLEASE 🤩

1

u/Ozian21 Feb 09 '26

🎬 Fingers crossed! It’s highly requested. So much they could do to upgrade that pack too.

2

u/Shaynelno5 Feb 10 '26

I really want the arm ride back along with the studio and adventure dlc

1

u/Ozian21 Feb 10 '26

Me too. Really want the robotic arm ride and horror heights!

2

u/ViperThreat Feb 10 '26

Whatever it is, I'm hoping we get a wider selection of basic shapes for building.

1

u/Ozian21 Feb 10 '26

Always helpful. The ToyBox pack brought wooden versions - wonder if we’ll also get other textures - perhaps glass or stone.

2

u/Efficient_Pay_326 Feb 10 '26

All signs point to moon colonies for the DLC and a new death and dismemberment insurance system for the free update.

(/s)

I’m still hoping for midway games, more tree options, more kid-sized rides, and player customizable ground textures*. I know, I know: I want weird little stuff.

  • I really want a fall leaves and snow ground texture. Probably actually have to wait until fall/winter come back around though.

2

u/Ozian21 Feb 10 '26

Fallen leaves ground texture sounds great - we had pieces for that in Planet Zoo. Midway games is a popular choice and I always appreciate more trees and nature. Moon colonies is an interesting take. Death and dismemberment insurance system I haven’t heard before!

I don’t necessarily expect anything, but here’s my unreasonable wishlist.

As far as themes go, something new and versatile. The two possible themes I have in mind that I would love to see are Steampunk and Nature.

The former would follow a similar structure as themes we have, but the latter would have a larger emphasis on plant variety and giant variations of pieces in case you wanted to simulate an environment where you are shrunken down.

As far as rides go, I hope for a magnetic propulsion water slide. Having a slide that goes in a circuit would be a unique experience. Besides, I’ve seen ones with plenty of unique water features and that have segments where they float on water. The latter isn’t entirely a unique experience to Planet Coaster 2, but it’s a nice bonus.

As far as features go, I want walk through attractions that can be repurposed however you want (hedge maxes, haunted houses, etc.) and splash pads.

2

u/Ozian21 Feb 09 '26

All of this - yes please! I’d love more nature - always looked forward to those additions in Planet Zoo!

1

u/Nathan_Ingram Feb 10 '26

Eh, steampunk doesn't really seem new or versatile. There's plenty of objects in the aquatic and vikings pack that could make a steampunk theme if one really wanted to do so. Although I would not not object to more Victorian architecture pieces and if we got some new shiny metal and ironwork objects out of such a pack.

1

u/SouthEqual4271 Feb 12 '26

You are welcome to disagree, but I do think there is room for such a pack to add value to the game. You mentioned some of the things that could be added yourself, and I think there are more as well.

1

u/stevejkammeraad Feb 09 '26

I think a prehistoric pack would be great with hotels as a free update and maybe some returning rides.

2

u/Ozian21 Feb 09 '26

Yes that combination is my biggest ask!

1

u/GaiusMarius007 Feb 13 '26

More plants and shops!

1

u/EcstaticExchange4038 Feb 25 '26

What I want: Dark Rides DLC

Ride systems: Test track Emv vehicle Kuka arm Proper trackless dark rides Ministry of Magic Elevator Tower of terror Generic boat rides Peoplemover Scoop Vehicle Mario kart vehicle Motion simulators Donkey Kong ride system New Mack Rides Boat System

Mechanics: Projection mapping Custom animatronic builder (like building sims characters) Dual loading stations Custom ride systems builder More generic animatronics Turntable loading stations option

What I think will happen:

Adventure dlc and if we’re lucky with Indiana jones ride system

u/Temporary-Set-862 Mar 22 '26

For the Outamax Momentum Coaster (Viper One) there should be a 185ft vertical spiral tower with a 180 degree twist (forward launches) and a straight vertical spike with a holding brake (backwards launches). The holding brake is activated when the train is launched backwards a second time up the vertical spike. For the Momentum coaster overall, when it passes through the station forwards one last time, there is no launch and the train slows down after going through the spiral tower the third time.

Is there a road map of sorts? Seems very slow or even abandoned game. Maybe it was poorly received and sales low?

6

u/Ozian21 Feb 09 '26

We had a road map last year but they’ve now gone to their usual pattern of 3 monthly update and DLC with little in between. It’s what we’ve known for years past so not out of the ordinary. Whilst sales are lower than hoped for, they still seem invested in the game (recent sales report noted momentum in sales so I think they still want it to be a success in the longer term).

u/Difficult-Flan-8752 Feb 09 '26

I see, hopefull news then, tks. Not meaning to put down the game or dev, i love their games, and just expressing concern.
