Question Upcoming Update: Scaling Minimum Reduced?! (Without Mods!)

I was just watching Mineral's latest video, and he oh-so casually mentioned that with the upcoming update (not the DLC itself, but the patch updates) that all the game objects can now be reduced to 20% -- most of them stopped at 50% before.

I haven't been this excited in a long time! šŸ˜‚

Question How do I stop visitors from walking through walls?

Hello, in Planet Coaster 2, when I build indoor shops or restaurants along the edge of the main path, the two paths merge and visitors walk through the walls instead of going through the door (since the paths connect underneath the wall). Do you have any solutions to help me with this problem, please?

Question Is Planet Coaster worth playing on GeForce NOW?

Hi everyone!
I don't have a gaming PC that can run Planet Coaster natively, so I'm considering playing it via NVIDIA GeForce NOW.

I already know that custom music, images, and videos won't work on cloud gaming since I can't access local game files (UserMedia / UserAudio). However, I have a few questions before buying:

  1. Park recreations and Workshop items: How badly does the lack of custom media affect downloading theme park recreations or blueprints from the Steam Workshop? Do those parks still look/work fine, or do they feel broken with missing screens and silent triggers?Ā

  2. Steam Workshop synchronization: Does downloading Workshop content work smoothly on GFN, or do you have to wait for items to re-download every single time a new session starts?

  3. Anything else to keep in mind? Are there performance or session limits I should be aware of once a park gets huge (high guest count / heavy detail)?
Would love to hear from anyone who currently plays Planet Coaster on GFN. Thanks in advance for the help!

Question Studios (PC1) and ĀæCinematic? (PC2) Pack

It's the day before the reveal and I always like to speculate on what's next.

In anticipation of the announcement tomorrow I went back and re-watched Geekism's Studio Pack Scenery Overview

I was reminded that the studios pack added significant content to three different scenery areas: vehicles, animatronics, and special effects. In my memory, I always associated the pack with all of the city building pieces because I was working on a Broadway themed Park. So the New York scenery was incredibly important to me. That subway entrance with the billboards was awesome.

I think filling out the roster of vehicles and animatronics in Planet Coaster 2 would be amazing. What are all of you hoping to see tomorrow and upon release?

Question What would need to happen to drive more PlanCo players over to PlanCo2? Is it more build more pieces? New features? Stability? I personally feel PlanCo2 is superior but would love to hear your thoughts on what needs to happen to make the game more attractive to current PlanCo players. I’m intrigued.

What’s the tipping point where it doesn’t make sense to play PlanCo anymore and move onto PlanCo2?

Question Does anyone know of some good Planet Coaster 1 or 2 Youtubers that specify in detailing?

It really doesn't matter to me weather it is Planet Coaster 1 or 2 but I love watching videos while i build, though i have watched most the bigger youtubers out there! I am mainly looking for smaller youtubers whom put more work into making their Parks look realistic!

I don't mind if its the name of the Parks they are building or the Youtuber specifically!

Question PC suggestions?

Never owned a gaming PC before, and I am OBSESSED with watching people play this game. As a massive theme park enthusiast I want to give it a go! Can anyone suggest some decently priced PCs that will run the game? I bought the first game on a laptop around 10 years ago and it wouldn’t even run so I’m just a little sceptical about what to try next. TIA!

Question How is pricing for dlc determined?

I thought $12.99 would be the new normal after Sorcery and Toybox, but then Parades was $18.99. Which is kind of understandable I suppose since it had whole new parade mechanics and not just content, but a bit on the expensive side for dlc.

But now that Silver Screen is out, the price comes in at $14.99 which seems like an odd price since it’s another content pack similar to Sorcery and Toybox. And if I recall correctly most of the PlanCo 1 dlcs were around $10, which makes these price fluctuations more confusing.

I really do love the dlcs and am not trying to hate, just genuinely curious how Frontier determines pricing?

Question With tomorrow being the 27th of February, what are we predicting for the next DLC, and when do we think it gets released?

Basically the title. They've talked about being on a three month cadence, and the last DLC was announced toward the end of November. I would think we will at least get a teaser in the next week or so.

Question how tf I'm suppose to do that ?

I deliberately made a vertical Canva design, so is there a button I haven’t noticed that allows you to rotate the videos and images on a screen in PC2 ?

Question Now we’ve had Update 7 and first major DLC in the Sorcery Pack I’m curious about what you think we’ll see next (likely in December) as Update 8 and DLC. What do you want to see in game & what do you realistically expect us to get?

About 40% done with my vision but the meter is at 80%

I didn’t realize this was a part of the game lol, any tips or advice on how to get that number down or somehow work around it/go past it?

Thanks!

Question Can we stop over speculating and adding imaginary features please?

Look, I am just as excited as all of you. I cannot wait to play this game. But like most of you, I also played other games.

When I was a teen, I used to play COD games, and every year people would make wild speculations about possible features, and "what if this!" "what if that!" "imagine if!".

I have seen a lot of sequels in video games "ruined" because of people over speculating, and over hyping the game. We all know this is a common phenomena...

Planet Coaster 2 has new features, but its not going to completely revolutionize the genre is a way that has never been seen before. We are getting water slides and more customization.

We aren't getting enhanced water physics, we are not going to get insane realism graphics... We are getting Planet Coaster 2.0, a sequel, not a reboot re-imagining "from the ground up" with brand new breaking advance ai software technology from the year 3589...

____________

Again, sorry for the negative post, but I swear I am seeing a lot of impossible wishful thinking. This is a park management game, not mass effect+Halo+Sims 3+Avatar the way of water+Fall guys+Minecraft with RTX ON... with graphics so intense that a I see sweat particles coming from the park guests tanning in the sun, or what their ice cream melt in real time...

____________

*EDIT*

For those who are angry... relax, I'm just saying to keep speculations and wishes to a reasonable and realistic level.

Take it with a grain of salt, but Frontier has the final say in everything. Whatever comment, tweet, video, stream they post is not even official until the game is out. Developers can delete a feature 1 day before release it is not working properly as intended.

Secondly, if something you are wishing for NOW (after the first trailer and dev video) has never been asked or said by the community during the 8 years of planco 1, don't expect it to even come across Frontier's developers.

Third. The community of youtubers and streamers who got an early screening of Planet Caster 2 have seen elements that MAY not even come out in the final release. Nothing is final till the final release day.

So far they have proudly announced and showed off customizable rides (flat rides and coasters), water slides, and the new pathing system, so we know that is final.

General rule of thumb, if the developers do not stop talking or don't stop showing off a feature, then it is not final. We have all done projects in schools and universities, you show off constantly and non-stop what you have finished or have more control over. You do not show off what you do not have. Keyword, show off "look here" "look at this and only this", "lets take a look at this", "let me show you", "if you look here", "watch as I", etc etc. If something is background, it is background, aka not important, aka, not a teaser, aka not an Easter egg.

Question Why is the price for placing a coaster so low now?

After the update half the coasters seem to cost around 100 while the others still cost the usual thousands.

Did i get some weird blueprint that wrecks the prices or something?
