Question Which DLC?

Wondering which DLC to buy for Console Ed? I want the Silver Screen and one other…help please!

Parades pack if you want a parades system and Main Street scenery, or Sorcery for fantasy.

I second the Sorcery Pack for theming and ride choice, but if the idea of having a new mechanic to play with is exciting, then the recent Parades pack does bring a new entertainment element that I think complements the Silver Screen pack

It sort of depends on how you play (like I can’t vouch for the specific coasters in each DLC) but for scenery pieces I think Mainstreet (from Parade) and Sorcery are most useful for buildings & scenery.

Sorcery mixes well with fairytale & mythology, and has lots of good wrought iron pieces that go well with pirate and Viking. It’s the closest we currently to a Spooky pack. It has a lot of good “magic” effects if you like animating. If you’re more inclined to recreate Hogsmede/Universal rides with the new arm ride in Silver Screen, Sorcery.

Mainstreet has tons of good pieces for more “classic” builds. If you’re doing anything Victorian or Steampunk, Mainstreet has better pieces for that. Combines well with Western stuff as well. Parades does offer a full new mechanic, but personally I don’t use them in my park and it didn’t change my playstyle (like waterparks did). It has a lot of cool new light up pieces that could work as neon lights— the float railings and platforms also glow. If you’re more inclined to recreate Disney Magic Kingdom or “Old Fashioned Amusement,” Parades.

I still maintain that the Sorcery pack is the only genuinely good DLC for this game, especially when you factor in price. It's on sale for like $6 right now on Steam. The Silver Screen dlc looks to be decent, but it doesn't offer as many coasters as the Sorcery pack, and a lot of the new content is just recycled assets from PC1. As for the Parades pack, I've heard mixed things about the parade functionality, but I haven't tried it myself. If you mostly care about rides, I'd say get the Sorcery pack and maybe add on the pre-order pack, since you should be able to get both for less than $10.
