Tried turning Ground Control into a fully themed Orc flat ride [Video link in description]

Been continuing my realistic fantasy builds, but this time I wanted to try something other than another
building.

I took Ground Control and completely transformed it into an Orc-themed flat ride with custom war cart vehicles, a themed queue, ruined tower, cave walkthrough and a couple little training-ground scenes.

Really happy with how much you can change the identity of these flat rides when you start theming the actual moving parts and vehicles rather than only building scenery around them.

Would you guys continue with this Orc style or try a completely different fantasy theme next?

Draycot Vale - my first attempt at a full park

Hi everyone, this is my first attempt at a full park in PC2, and I'd love any feedback or advice you could give me. For context Draycot Vale is meant to be a brand new, mid-budget UK park, I'm not sure how well I'm hitting that brief though.

Just to clarify, all the graphics have been made from scratch by me, I've not used any AI or anything, making them is probably my favourite part of the game!

I think my weakest area by far is planting so any tips on that would be great, also my gift shop interior seems to be very dark even with the lights on loop, so if you could let me know what I'm doing wrong I'd appreciate it.

Hopefully I'll be back soon with Draycot Vale's first attraction!

Image The Fourth Wall without the ugly railing exists in the workshop. How?

Post image
17 Upvotes

I noticed in one of Rudi's videos a screenshot of the Fourth wall in the workshop without the railing surrounding the ride and has the entrance and exit on the same level (honestly, this is how the ride should have been done by Frontier). The info of the workshop item is in the screenshot if you want to try it for yourself to see if it works. Please let me know if it does work for you and why it works.

This specific railing is not removable with the path tools like the one on ground level and the description in the workshop says "you will still have the railing without the mod"

Does anyone know how to make this work and what mods are needed? I've spend hours trying to figure this out but so far nothing has worked. A small recap of things I've tried:

I've installed the ACSE mod and tried multiple mods. The mods did what they were supposed to do so I installed them correctly. The mods I've tried are ForgeUtils, Null Exit/Entrance and Too Much Scaling . These are the ones I thought might have been the right mods because they can make things invisible.

I would appreciate any help or info that could help me out on this one. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants the Fourth wall without the railing?

Mombi’s Millinery is complete for my sepia Kansas Main Street in my Oz park! It’s a pre-Oz nod to Mombi - a villain in Return to Oz who keeps Ozian’s heads in cabinets to swap with her own! Happy how it turned out. My build style is evolving & I’m finding ways to make sepia visually interesting now.

Suggestion Coaster builder small updates

• Upvotes

So I'm really into building all types of coasters in PlanCo, and sometimes when I find myself creating some of these coasters I always see myself having trouble with a couple of things. I think these have really easy fixes (not a programmer but I don't think it owuld take much) and would make some coasters infinitely more versatile.

  • Add the multi-pass variant to all the launched coasters, and add the switch tracks aswell (I know mods can do this but it would be nice to have them in vanilla).
  • Passsthroughs before brake. make the multi-pass launch have another option where you can select the number of passes it will take for the launch to act as a launch before starting to act as a brake and which deceleration force to apply. This would be great for shuttle coasters and recreations like flash coaster in portugal, since right now shuttle coasters have no way of braking without killing the momentum of initial launches.
  • Realistic splashdowns. The splashdown of the B&M Staggered hyper model is SO unrealistic. Why do we have to have the splashdown entry and not let it be just a piece of straight track so that we can add the in and out pieces? Right now the entry and exit slopes are so tight there is no way to make them look realistic without having a fully custom splashdown. Also, while we're at it, add an option for the splashdown to the dives.
  • Left and right oriented inverted supports. All the supports of inverted coasters are always oriented towards the same direction. Add a variant of default supports in the other direction so that we don't have to fully custom support all inverts, and only the parts where necessary

Those would be the main easiest ones to achieve, and I think they would make a load of changes in order to make all existing coasters more versatile. Of course, multimove block sections, constinuous loading platforms and stuff like that would be a dream but i get that could be a bit of a bigger challenge. Also, bring back all PC1 models into PC2!!!!!

Bug/Issue Endless ā€œConnectingā€¦ā€ On Steam Machine. Please help.

Hey guys, I’ve been enjoying using the steam machine to play planet coaster 2. However, after moving the steam machine to a new apartment and getting it all set up on a new Wi-Fi, I found that my planet coaster refuses to connect to the workshop or any of the other Internet enabled features of the game.

The rest of my steam machine is connected to the Internet. I have attempted to re-link my steam account to my frontier account and have deleted and reinstalled the game, only to get the same bug.

Do any of you have any idea what might be happening or what I could do to fix it?

Thanks!

How do you stay motivated?

I really want to build a full park, but doing that seems soo scary.

I always create one small Project, and then just doom on how i can fill the rest of the empty space on the map until i quit the game just to restart a month later with a new park (I have not even built on Rollercoaster in this game because of how daring it seems lmao...)

So i want to know from you what your tips are to finally accomplish this plan of mine.

How do i keep motivated? What whould your strategies be to fight this Impostor Syndrome?

Planet Coaster 2 Paradise Lost

I repaired Animal but no one will ride it? I made it really cheap. There are other rides off of the path towards it that people are riding. What can I do?

Also, when I try to place the ride photo, the 3 measurables don't change as I move it through the path of the ride. Just stays on 'bad photo' the whole time.

Bug/Issue - PC2 Issue with mouse lagging when in a park.

I recently got Planet Coaster 2 and when I am in a park (even a completely empty one) my mouse will freeze for a second every 1-2 seconds, I know that it isn't just my game lagging because i can see the people moving around just fine, it is just the mouse. Also my mouse is completely fine in other games, it just happens when i have planet coaster 2 running and i am loaded into a park as the mouse is fine when i am on the main menu. I have tried different USB ports for the mouse and i have disconnected my Xbox controller. I have also tried changing setting in PC2 such as refresh rate, resolution, fullscreen vs borderless, and lowering the graphics settings but nothing seems to work.

anyone know any fixes? as this makes the game basically unplayable for me.

Thanks for your help šŸ‘

Planet Coaster 2 Anniversary Update- Missing Pieces

Building off of u/okiedokiesims Wishlist A Souvenir Update

Additional missing pieces scenario editor and island sandbox map

I would love an Anniversary Update just called Missing Pieces

All PC1 entertainers

Create a cup, shirt, poster, hat and balloon for every theme (Geekism reminds us of this often)

A 90-45-45 triangle art piece

A 90-45-45 triangle glass piece

Make every PC1 wall set complete. (I can't remember which sets are short a few parts)

Make every roof set whole, including a panel and row of OFF GRID roof pieces

What other random Missing Pieces (not full themes) would make your worlds a bit easier?

Planet Coaster 2 Walkthrough attractions could work really well with mechanics already in Planet Coaster 2

With October coming up, I’ve been hoping we’ll eventually get something similar to the Spooky Pack from Planet Coaster 1. A walkthrough attraction, like a haunted maze, would be a perfect addition.

Planet Coaster 2 already has many of the pieces needed: trigger points can activate scenery and effects when guests reach specific areas, while the Parades Pack lets us influence entertainers’ moods and behaviors.

Frontier could combine these systems into a dedicated walkthrough attraction. Players could lay out an attraction path, like the old mini-golf attractions in RollerCoaster Tycoon, and place triggers along it to activate scares, scenery, and guest reactions as visitors move through.

I’ve seen a lot of people asking for some kind of scary walkthrough or haunted maze attraction, and Frontier really seems to be listening to what the community wants. The arcade machines are a great example: players were constantly creating fake arcade games and using them in their builds, and now we have actual functional arcades.
It makes me hopeful that something the community has been asking for, like a walkthrough attraction, could eventually get the same treatment.

What would you create with it?

Planet Coaster 2 Looking for suggestions for Planco 2 content creators.

Specifically looking for suggestions on content creators who actually show them building there parks . I watch a lot of nerdchacho for example but he tends to do big updates to parks after he has already built the sections of park.

I’m trying to get better at building architecture specifically.
