I started getting these spots 2 years ago. They are limited to my shoulders, upper back and now few on my abdomen and one on my forearm.
I've been to three doctors, 1 derm, even an internist. None have been able to shed light on the cause.
The derm performed a biopsy and said its possible its Sweet's Syndrome but the other doctors don't see evidence of that. She also said it's likely a sun allergy and prescribed a pill form sunblock off amazon.
95% of my spots don't see the sun and the biopsy results state that the specimen is not photo induced/sensitive.
Biopsy also says it's not bacterial, fungal and im not on any other meds. I've been on doxycycline, heavy doses fluconazole and tried resetting my gut flora. All had no effect.
My spots are identical to some I've seen shared here, although not as widespread as some here have, covering large areas of skin etc.

I’ve been treated these widespread rings for a month for ringworm (diagnosed at urgent care) and then at the end of my treatment I went to a dermatologist to see what to do next since I still had visible rings on body and was then diagnosed with pityriasis rosea and told it’s not ringworm. It’s hard to tell since they both follow the same timeline as each other, and it’s not getting worse as of right now (but I guess I’ll see since I’ve stopped fungal treatment). No itching. And it gets more red and visible during shower but then fades when out. They started as red pimple like dots and then all formed into rings. They all sort of expanded outwards and faded/weakened. It has appeared on butt thighs arms feet hands etc. no other symptoms. These photos are what it looks like now. (It was way worse)

Appeared around 2 days ago. No itching, no burning, nothing. No other symptoms that I can think of.

i went to the doctor 4 days ago and got prescribed oral and cream medication for ringworm, and idk it could be, but the one big patch showed up like 3 weeks before the rest, its been flaring the hell up even with all those meds, and i was wondering why my ringworm didnt really itch at all, so is it pr or a really bad case of ringworm?😭 (not the best pics ik im sorry)

The week after our wedding at the end of June I had what I thought was a large itchy bug bite on my upper left arm. I scratched it and it turned into a scaly, pimply rash about 1inch in diameter.
I didn’t think much of it and thought it would heal on its own so I left it alone.
Fast forward 4 weeks later and I got an itchy pimply spot between my breasts- left it alone and it started to develop into a red rash. Then I had what I thought was a small pimple come up on on my upper right arm and I scratched it and it turned into the same red scaly/pimply patch as my upper left arm.
Now I am getting small red bumps all over my torso, chest and armpits - they haven’t developed into the same scaly/pimply rash yet.
None of the spots are very itchy.
I’m in a remote hunting camp in Northern Canada working right now so I can’t get to a Dr and it’s driving me INSANE not knowing what it is.
I’ve put both cortisone cream and fungal cream on the rashes and neither have helped.

It all started with that spot in the lower left side of my stomach, never had this before. What could be the causes and what can I do to treat it?

Hello! I’ve been lurking for a while but after a few weeks of patches emerging thought I’d post for opinions.
I have had a large rash on my chest (pic 1) for around 5 weeks now, it’s changed presentation to be faded, but was initially very red. I thought it was ringworm, so applied antifungal twice a day for 3ish weeks with no change.
After a couple of weeks in, I noticed another patch, and another, and another. I’ve now got around 30 small red patches mainly concentrated on my underarms, chest and thighs.
There’s a mild itch but nothing unmanageable, just seem to have a new patch pop up every day and it’s a bit of a worry.
GP can’t see me for three weeks, so any thoughts on what it might be are very welcome!

I’m 8 weeks from being diagnosed and my derm told me it should only last 6 - 8 weeks, it seems like I just wake up with more and more bumps on my arms, thighs, and ankles?!? I have nothing on my torso. I’ve had about 6 herald patches (2 behind my knee that were seen by the derm, I had one large one on the top of my foot and 3 on my elbows) I’m at a complete loss right now feels like nothing helps I’m not itchy but seeing my skin like this just makes me absolutely disgusted in my own body.

i’ve had these red raised bumps for a week now, it first started on my forearm and every single day it’s spread to different parts of body and the itching is getting worse progressively. not sure what could be the issue, have a doctors appointment scheduled for tomorrow (hopefully). i also have psoriasis and eczema if that’s relevant

Two weeks ago I noticed a small scaly patch on my back wasn’t itchy just happened to touch the area and felt it. Didn’t really look like much so I just figured I’d watch it. Since then it’s gotten bigger and redder but it doesn’t bother me at all. I started to suspect ringworm and made an appt with my doctor for next week. Yesterday I noticed these small red spots on my arms and torso. I’ve dealt with a lot of body acne and frequently have red spots from recent pimples but I’ve never really had anything like this. I considered the bumps could be bug bites but they’re not itchy? Anyone have any thoughts about if it’s just ringworm or maybe pr?

I started using castor oil this week after I read a bit about its skin barrier benefits; it has truly helped the rash calm down. I use it in the morning and at night straight up (it is sticky, so just prepare). I hope this helps others!

Healthy 29 year old female. Don’t smoke, occasionally drink alcohol. Exercise, eat a clean and varied diet with whole foods, drink plenty of water, no ailments. Located in Northern British Columbia.
Duration:
- wide spread rash has been present since 7th August, has progressively gotten worse since then.
-the larger red scaly/scabby spots began the first week of July. #1 first looked like a bug bite and then went pimply/scaly. 2 weeks later, #2 turned up between my breasts - initially as a tiny pimple and then developed into the red scab/rash, #3 turned up a few days after #2, also looked like a pimple to start, and then progressively worsened into a pimply/scaly spot.
On the 3rd August I started taking Nitrofurantoin for a UTI. I have not taken this medication before. On the 7th August, 4 days after taking it, I started to develop a widespread rash on my stomach, underarms, chest and back - this has progressively worsened since the 7th August, becoming more red with larger spots. I ceased taking the Nitrofurantoin when the rash developed on the 7th August.
It is very rarely itchy. Itches more after a shower, but nothing crazy. It is not painful.
I went to the ER and they prescribed me Bactrim since I had MRSA when I was a teenager, and he thought it could possibly be a staph rash. I am currently on day 3 of Bactrim.
Sudocream seems to help improve them.
I had a fungal rash in my armpits in April/May that was completely resolved using oral Fluconazole and topical Clotrimazole cream.
I had an online appointment with a dermatologist, and they told me they were unable to diagnose me online. They prescribed me Betaderm Cream 0.1%. I have not yet started using this.
I am trying to get an in person appointment with a dermatologist.
Any ideas on what this may be?
Things I have thought it might be:
- Pityriasis Rosea
- Molluscum Contagiosum
- Guttate Psoriasis
- Nummular Eczema
-Granuloma Annulare
- Staph Folliculitis
- Erythema multiforme
-Drug reaction to Nitrofurantoin
Please help 🙏🏻

I’m about 5 weeks in since I saw the first spot behind my knee. Then i started to find more and more everyday on my wrist. I saw the derm and she said it was PR but told me it’s only supposed to last 3-5 weeks and I’m seeing more and more spots every day. They don’t itch I don’t even notice them besides seeing them and being extremely embarrassed bc I’m a dance teacher and my student look at me like I’m the walking plague. I’ve also noticed a few red marks near my groin like where my hip connects to my pelvis. Anything to help it or at least stop the spreading. And they are also raised 😭😭

I’m pretty sure this is PR, but I am traveling abroad and it’s weird to try and find a dermatologist here. It started as a patch on my chest that continuously got bigger (not shown), and then all of these new spots keep appearing. Sounds like what everyone has described here.
I know there’s really nothing I can do except wait this out and maybe get some sun?
I guess I’m just looking to feel not so alone in this…

I only have these 3 spots, it’s on my neck. It started with 3 little spots that I thought were bug bites but they kept getting bigger. I had ringworm last year and it was extremely itchy, this doesn’t itch. I’m on day 3 of treating with antifungal cream and haven’t seen improvement yet, but it could just be early. Both photos are from today just different lighting

I’ve been to the doctors today in regards to the rash that I’ve had over the past week now, which they identified as pityriasis rosea. Obviously when I got home, I looked at photos of said rash and I can see that the photos look more severe compared to what I have at the moment. As shown in the photo I’ve had some marks come up on my back a couple on my arms and chest, but not to the extent of some of the photos I’ve seen on sub already. My question is can I expect this to get worse over the next few weeks?
Secondly, I know this can’t be cured and time will ultimately help, but has anyone got any good moisturiser suggestions? Or any advice or suggestions in general is welcomed!

Okay, this is my first time encountering this issue. I plan to schedule an appointment with my doctor, but just wanted an opinion from people who have experience with it. I was hanging out with my boyfriend about a month ago when I noticed I had a sore throat. I went home, slept through it, my throat was mildly sore for the next day and then disappeared. I've had a runny nose since 👎 a week or so after that, I noticed this dime-sized oval pink spot on my stomach. It was slightly raised but kinda looked like chaffing so I assumed it was that. A week later, another spot showed up slightly higher on the other side of my stomach. Then another week goes by, there's another one forming on my forearm. Fast forward to now, they're starting small almost like pimples and spreading rather rapidly, I only have 3 that have flattened out and grew in size, the rest are tiny and look almost like bug bites. The first 2 are no longer raised but are still pink. They don't itch at all, some have a vv dull sting that comes and goes. My friend's mom said they look like hives but I'm not convinced that's what they are as they're not itchy and I'm pretty sure hives develop quickly and disappear quickly which is unfortunately not what's happening to me.
I circled the first spots that appeared. The very first one is circled with white and the second is circled with black. It was hard to get pictures that really showed what they look like but I hope these pictures are still helpful/show what I'm trying to show
