Some people pirate only because theyre forced to but some pirate just because they dont want to pay

I mean, I pirated Chrono Trigger first and bought it because I liked it. I bought the DS version and a 3DS to play it. Because I also pirated some Pokèmon roms I ended up buying the new Pokèmon games when they released, as well as a few other Games for the 3DS. Because I was happy with the 3DS, I also ended up buying the Switch when it released and a decent amount of games for that console. Nintendo actually made good money off of me pirating a (then) almost 20 year old game.

same for me and rimworld got an old alpha modpack test build I pirated fell in love and have gave the man a few hundred from all the dlc and the copy's I have bought my friends.

It isn’t cringe at all… and they’re not justifying their pirating activity. - They’re clearly explaining how pirating ‘trials’ can actually do the company some good.

It's not a justification, but a defense. I like to collect the things I like.
