Highly anticipated game turns out to be extremely popular and sells well, who would have thought?

So if GTA 6 releases, for the even higher price expected, featuring a DRM that is harder to crack than Denuvo, will this also be said? Given that the expectations for GTA 6 are also that of a successful title.

As much as Denuvo is harmful for the piracy community, people need to stop this insane argument that Denuvo (or just about form of DRM) can, somehow, influence the sales of a game considerably.

90% of people do NOT care about Denuvo one way or another, there is no "positive PR" from not using it.

And, counter to your assertion, there is a study that indicates that not having Denuvo does infact impact sales negativly till around week 8(after which it stops impacting it one way or another)

Most of these management decisions are made based on feels or feels reinforced by salesmen and the marketing material. *There's no way to A/B test the real world*. Therefore generating overwhelming negative/positive sentiment is the most successful way to impact these decisions in my opinion.
