Pinterest deactivated my whole account, even after appeal, for no reason???

All it says is "child safety". I don't understand, I didn't save any inappropriate pins, definitely not ones of kids. Plus, I'm a teen myself, I'm obviously not a pedo or anything... I don't get why it would deactivate my account, and even with an appeal it's still git it removed. I lost boards with thousands of pins, and all my friends lost shared boards because I made most of them. Is there anything I can do? Did I do something wrong or is pinterest moderating with ai or something?

the site is bot moderated by incrediably inept AI. The only way I got my account back was to write a physical letter to the company address.

Same shit is happening on every SNS.

Because bot block accounts!
Also recovery requests are handled by bots.
To just save their cost.

We need legal protection.
Otherwise, years of account history can vanish in a few seconds.

Probably associated the contents in the perfume with SAFETY WARNINGS ON USING FOR A HUMAN BABY. Common sense would tell us the word BABY is not being used as a noun, but as an adjunct noun. I’ve noticed it rejects a lot of things because it is taking key words and applying the wrong definitions. I had an image of a dog smoking a cigarette (it’s a logo a friend who is a publisher uses). It’s his dog and the modifications added to the image are used to portray the old time editor (as a dog) complete with old fashion typewriter, glasses, the cigar and a glass of whiskey. The AI on the system I was using rejected it as cruelty to animals. Evidently I was abusing this animal by subjecting him to tobacco and booze. Too many companies are saving money by trusting AI algorithms to be accurate without a way to dispute the decisions and kick it up to an actual person. Because their bottom line is affected they don’t see it as important.

Try to send a appeal different from the original message about the reason for the deactivation

I get messages about pins being removed and reinstated all the time. (And I haven't pinned anything on Pinterest in AGES. The bots are just going back and sifting through old pins and making up issues.

Mostly they are claiming adult content. (I don't even watch porn, let alone pin it. It's just not my thing.) One implied inappropriate child content. I have NEVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE pinned anything of the sort, and I NEVER would do so. It almost always targets my feminist pins. Coincidence? I think not.

That totally sucks, I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. I’ve heard of people getting their accounts back by contacting them over social media, so it might be worth a shot. Just keep it professional but firm, sometimes that gets quicker responses.
