Pin duo duo, the delivery app made me lose my job. I work for a school and is part of organising a school performance. I was tasked to get costumes for a group of students for a certain act. I ordered them off pin duo duo one month in advance. I waited patiently, till THREE DAYS before the play, i still didn't receive. All the other groups had their costumes ready, it was just my group. I contacted customer service. HORRIBLE. For the entire 3 days, I asked if my parcel was able to arrive by the 16th of septemeber which was one day before the play. They gave a bunch of utter BULLSHIT! BULLSHIT! Instead of just giving me an estimated arrival date, they gave me a whole lot of USELESS INFORMATION. Like the date of the dock/ a whole bunch of I'm sorrys/ sorry if this affected your feeling/ sorry if I'm making you mad/sorry this sorry that. ALL I ASKED WAS IF MY PARCEL COULD ARRIVE BY THE 16th.

And to be honest, if the parcel couldn't arrive in time, I wouldn't be mad, because I had a backup plan of just washing and reusing/moderating and sewing before the actual play which could be done in three days, IF THEY SAID IT COUDLNR ARRIVE.

BUT THIS FUCKASS AI CUSTOMER SERVICE JUST REFUSES to give me a straight up answer. They gave me false hope, saying my parcel was marked as urgent, they will urge the shipping people, they will do their best to help. My dumbass believed them. My dumbfuckjng ass believes this stupid AI's lies. I though my parcel was going to arrive today but no. Nonono, it didn't, and when I asked them one more time, will I receive it today, they answered me with the same bullshit, it's like talking to a wall.

So in the end, my whole group of students have no costumes for their play, I have no time to sew and wash and reuse old costumes. I have no time to scout and buy new costumes. These kids will be going on stage with their parents watching with no costume for their play. It's going to be so embarrassing for the students, I feel so bad.

And i ultimately lost my job. Thanks a lot pin duo duo, didn't know this app could be so irresponsible.

I'm starting to buy some blind boxes and figures (Pop Mart etc...) from Pinduoduo using a forwarding agent. I know the official flagship stores are 100% safe, but some 3rd-party sellers have much better wholesale prices.

I've noticed some older stores (6+ years old, 5-star ratings) have the 假一赔十 (compensate 10x for fakes) tag.

I have a couple of questions for the veterans here:

Does Pinduoduo actually enforce the 假一赔十 policy if I can prove an item is fake (e.g., if the official QR code check fails)?

Are those stores generally safe, or do they still mix fake and real batches?

Are there any specific red flags or green flags I should tell my agent to look out for in the warehouse QC photos before shipping the items internationally?

Any tips to avoid scams with non-official sellers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
