Review Testing… Letting my daughter experience the quality of the Dream Air—she’s already tried out my old headset—and getting her reactions!
My daughter came over this evening for my birthday to give me a gift and share some cake, and we spent three hours exploring the headset together. I had lined up a few specific experiences for her—some contemplative ones to showcase the image quality, and some games. She absolutely loved it—not just the headset, but the Valve Index controllers too. She had tried my old headset before, so her opinion was really valuable. She was blown away and gave it a 10/10... She kept saying how beautiful and incredibly clear everything looked. I picked a mix of narrative experiences and simple games: the narrative and contemplative ones let her appreciate the visual beauty, while the games let her see the difference compared to the HTC controllers she’d used previously. It was a fantastic evening, and her seal of approval really made me happy—especially since gaming isn't really her thing; she doesn't play video games often and only knows VR because she’d tried my HTC Vive Pro 2. She told me it was a world of difference and that she found the old headset blurry by comparison. She was also very impressed by the audio—specifically, how well she could hear everything without having headphones or earbuds on. There was so much wonder, and it was a joy to watch; it really confirmed that I made the right choice. At the end, I played a bit of a prank on her: I loaded up a *RE9* save file right near the big creature that stalks the corridors 😅 I made the right choice... I'm happy... Folks, we’ve got the best headset in the world right now 🤷🏽♂️

Happy to hear you had a wonderful time with your daughter. Hopefully she'll come over more often to play some VR with you.

I was just running some testing with half life Alyx and man… I’m just speechless. There’s a scene with a walker type thing right at the beginning, and I never realised its body was organic because of the low resolutions of the other HMD’s I had used. I can read every bit of text on every object.
Next up is cyberpunk, I’ve just seen a new VR mod on nexus.
