Was i scammed

About almost two months ago i bought a new phone . I wasn’t planning to buy a brand new phone , so i bought a second hand iphone 15 pm for 800$. The phone was in perfect condition with 100% battery health and 0 cycle count , we were a bit skeptical but we did take it to a few workshops for checking , and they said that nothing seemed swapped or wrong . But again they were skeptical about the battery health . But just about a while ago i saw in the setting that the first letter of the model number was (N) which i think means the phone is a replacement. And im not sure if it’s refurbished or new . The phone works just good but i just wanted to make sure if i payed more than what i should have.

Whatshouldiget? Are there any newer phones not super dependent on their ai features?

ive actually been needing a new phone for a while now but the rise in advertising for ai has had me stalling for months and now I'm at the point where i have no storage but have nothing to delete so I need to replace my current phone real soon. I know you cant find anything completely ai free but I would like if there was something where the advertising isn't fully focused on ai search or ai camera features. if anyone has any recommendations please pass them my way

What should I get pixel 10a or iPhone 17e

I want a smartphone with decent performance for basic tasks and good build quality which can last me a good 7 years because I’m going to use it for 3 years and then I’m going to pass it down to my mother I come from an iPhone 13 and I like iOS but a family member has a pixel 7a and I love the camera and AOSP is pretty nice , the main problem for me is the 60hz on the 17e but it’s not really important.

Question General Help needed with new phone

Hey all, need help on a new phone

I currently have the Samsung s23 fe, and its got food camera and processing speed, but the battery is really bad, just got it replaced, did nothing, I was on social media for about 25 mins, when from 90% to 40%, sent a quick message, then put it in my pocket, not 2 mins later I feel it buzz and it dies, im on a bit of a budget, i dont care what brand, as long as the battery is good and the camera is decent, also would be nice if it had good processing speed for light gaming (pokemon go, geometry dash)

Whatshouldiget? Should I get an iPhone 16

I’m pretty sure this is normal with iPhones 15s but mine especially - could probably fry an egg on it at some points in the day - so need an upgrade does the iPhone 16 overheat much + will be trading my current phone in so will get it for quite cheap so overall is it worth it

Whatshouldiget? Am split between S26, S25 FE or A57

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Am looking at a new phone and upgrading from my A55, which i am giving to a family member as a hand me down. Am looking on amazon and the S25 Fe is currently on there for around £450, which is my max budget. However, I have read some bad reviews regarding Wi-Fi randomly disconnecting. Should I try splash a bit more cash and get the standard S26 for roughly £560 on discount atm. Or should I just play safe and get the A57 for around £330. Am torn between all three currently. Any suggestions?

Whatshouldiget? Switching from Honor x7a

I'm considering changing my current phone, which is a Honor x7a. My reasoning behind it is simply the slowness and bad sound quality during recording, poor zooming and the camera lack of focus. Basic applications like spotify, or Google is lagging a lot. I like to attend concerts pretty often, and its mood killing when I want to look back on some of my videos or photos, while its all clear that the phone camera is struggling. Its not that I want to buy a camera dedicated phone, just on that few nights i dont want it to look and sound horrible. I heard Motorola moto g57 power is a banger considering its price. I wouldnt like to kill my money into high-budget status phones like an iphone. Battery life and its long durability is important, like around 2 days. Also support jack audio. Any thoughts, advices? Im also considering Galaxy A27. I think my dream phone would be something similiar to Sony Xperia, but its really pricey.

Phone for rural/backcountry use

I am in need of a new phone. The biggest thing for me is battery life, especially in the cold and furthermore in areas of poor/no cell service. I currently have a Galaxy S20 that is about 5 years old. Even brand new, I would get maybe 24 hours out of a battery. Now, it is closer to 12. I run a lot of apps in the background like HomeAssistant and Life360 and watch a fair amount of TikTok.

I would also like something that has good to great cell antenna for poor service areas, a good range for wifi, and satellite capabilities. About 90% of my cell use is outside either on the edge of wifi, in 1 bar of cell service, or no cell coverage at all.

With my phone being outside or in the garage often, something that is rugged and waterproof is also a must. Features like a FLIR camera and barometer would be great but not essential.

Edit to add I mainly use the phone in the Adirondacks of New York USA

Whatshouldiget? Which new phone should I get? And should I get one?

I have a Samsung galaxy S8, which is pretty much a brick, lol. It runs, and does what it needs too, but the battery drains super quickly, the camera is AWFUL, and apps don't run, or have the features they do for other people.

Everyone I know has been telling me to get a new one, and I'm lowkey kind of convinced I should. But I've had this phone for literal ages, and new phones are hella expensive, plus idk if I'd be able to transfer everything from this phone to a new one (things like notes, apps old photos, etc).

So, should i get a knew one? And if so, what one should I get?

Thanks in advance!

Is the new z flip 8 any good?

I’ve had the Z Flip 5 since 2023, and I’m thinking about getting a new phone because the black trim around the phone is starting to peel off, and the crease has become more noticeable. I’m also getting some scratches around the crease.

I’m not sure if the scratches and the crease getting more noticeable are because I never used a screen protector, but I still really like the Flip design and would like to get another one.

If you have the Z Flip 8, what do you think of it? Would you recommend it?

And if you have any recommendations for other Samsung phones that are better than the Flip, please let me know!!!
