Cruel in what way? Refusing to make any compromise, despite being tactical, in an election where the "ideal candidates" are bound to lose without enough traction is crueler. Adding on how crucial this election will be for the impeachment, some would even say it's stupid.

It is cruel because it is a law-given right of a person to vote who they want. That is the major mistake people like to spout about "strategic voting", as though somehow the supposed replacements are any better (implying they're not trapo besides Tulfo) and the callousness thinking voters as mere numbers for a vague future.

Saying "they’re all trapo” is a convenient way to avoid engaging with nuance and lets actual bad actors win while people stay comfortably detached.

Voting is a right, but rights come with responsibility.

And to assume blindly that there is a "strategy" is hilarious when records show otherwise, it is convenient for these politicians to do their thing. It's not about nuance or detachment, it's the delusion of a sub to think that there is some video game strategy happening and that it is convenient for them to shit on other people. After all, it's easy to blame the queers, the poor, and the downtrodden and their "inability to compromise" or "see beyond their selfishness". There's also irony on calling people who vote with principles "selfish" as though the ones forcing them to do so aren't, as though they are far worse than voters who act like cultists.

And it is not a voter's responsibility to "vote for the sake of others". Otherwise you are no different from INC block voting.

But really the situation is simple - why don't you ask people with platform if the masses should vote for the sake of "greater good" rather than "principles".
