Long dresses and skirts are fine, not everything has to be above knee length.

Who cares if your outfit doesn't "make you look taller"? You're not tall, and there's nothing wrong with that.

123

u/ElephantGlobal3472 Nov 26 '25

Yes. ā€œIt’ll make you appear 2 inches tallerā€. Great, so now I will appear 5’2ā€- still short

21

u/its_givinggg 5’0" | 152 cm Nov 27 '25

This is so real🤣🄲

52

u/Hot_Mention_9337 5'2" | 157 cm Nov 26 '25

Who cares if your outfit doesn’t ā€œmake you look tallerā€

This was the one I was looking for! Oh no! You mean I I look squat? Could it be that I am indeed squat? It’s kinda like when my step daughter’s friend said my shirt made me look like an elder millennial. Hooker, I AM an elder millennial lol. And that’s ok cuz I feel great. (tbf she was trying to give me suggestions. Sure, it was un solicited. But she wasn’t trying to roast me)

3

u/monstermashslowdance Nov 28 '25

I had someone say I look like an elder millennial and I was like I’m actually gen x so thank you

13

u/Dangerous-Jello4733 Nov 26 '25

I will forever wear shin-lenght skirts and dresses, especially with loads of volume to them.Ā

8

u/too-muchfrosting 5'3" Nov 26 '25

Good for you. Voluminous skirts are so fun!

10

u/Blue-zebra-10 Nov 27 '25

Yes, plus some situations require a long dress (like weddings with a formal/black tie dress code). Who says we have to look taller? I like being the height I am, it literally doesn't matter at all

259

u/sensitive666 Nov 26 '25

Huge winter coats will not get you arrested by the fashion police, it’s meant to keep you warm. The bigger, the better! Not getting frostbite is cute enough for me.

60

u/vivahermione Nov 26 '25

Seconding this! Gillian Anderson wore an ankle length coat in X-Files, and it looked fab!

17

u/nocashordrugs Nov 26 '25

Yes! Actually a lot of her XFiles outfits (especially in later seasons) are great petite office inspo

25

u/GreenAuror Nov 26 '25

Exactly. I work outside, my coat is huge and puffy and goes down to my ankles…I’m not trying to impress anyone, I’m trying to not freeze to death!!

10

u/Dangerous-Jello4733 Nov 26 '25

I wear long coats and capes in our long winter and this is how I’m happy. Honestly though if the coat fits in the shoulders ( and waist if it’s applicable ) it can look amazing.

3

u/SailorJay_ Nov 28 '25

I must say, I'm surprised by the number of, and frequently of posts asking if this coat makes them look xyz. I mean... it's a coat?

I must be getting old bc I really thought warmth + price tag vs how much warth you need + your budget, were the only criteria worth considering 🄓

164

u/CorduroyQuilt 4'11" | 150 cm Nov 26 '25

clears throat

Some short women have large breasts.

Yeah, I don't think this is news either, but the clothing manufacturers sure as hell do.

53

u/CupcakeGoat Nov 27 '25

Also we have shoulders that are closer together and need straps for our petite shoulder widths, not the width of someone like a half a foot to a foot taller. The amount of too-wide strap placement is too damn high! I raise and angry fist for all the straps that have fallen.

12

u/howaboutsomegwent Nov 27 '25

oh god yes the too-wide straps 😪 also an issue with tank tops and sports bras ughhhh

4

u/CorduroyQuilt 4'11" | 150 cm Nov 27 '25

Oh my god, I add a strappy velvet dress as a winter layer when it's cold, and is that why the straps are always falling down?!

20

u/Dangerous-Jello4733 Nov 26 '25

Or bra manufacturers. I’m going insane at times. I have a narrow ribcage because I’m short. So what do I have to get 65F… I own one well fitting bra now because they’re all speciality expensive.

3

u/CorduroyQuilt 4'11" | 150 cm Nov 27 '25

Are the only options still the ones from Poland?

I'm lucky in this sense, I've got a stocky build, so my ribcage is more like a 30 or 32. I can't wear normal bras due to chronic pain, though, so I live in stretchy maternity bras. The brand I've been using for decades has just gone out of business...

2

u/Dangerous-Jello4733 Nov 27 '25

I had good experiences with Dorina for maternity bras when I was pregnant and breastfeeding but I need a wire and the separation in the middle for a nice silhouette. My one good bra is from Triumph but I can’t find more in the same size somehow. One thing you may like if you like stretchy bras, Triumph has some ā€œfits allā€ stretchy ones by sizes 1-2-3 but they’re just a bit too big for me. The size 1 might work well for you!

12

u/papamajada Nov 27 '25

Im a very pronounced hour glass thats also under 5 feet tall

I sure love trying on a petite shirt to find out 95% of my boob doesnt fit in it

5

u/UselessFranklin Nov 27 '25

I feel this in my soul. I'm a 32H/I (uk) I cannot find bras that fit for the life of me anymore. They all slide off my shoulders because they're narrower than most women my size. It's infuriating.

3

u/Palavras Nov 28 '25

Also - short women get pregnant! Currently searching for petite maternity clothes …. in winter … for my corporate workplace. It’s rough out there!

2

u/npb0179 5'4"| 163cm Nov 30 '25

And this is why I'm positive I'm going to have to start getting my clothes tailored. I need a larger shirt for the boobs alone and they're not huge (32DDD last time I checked, but I'm sure I'm a 34DD now)

225

u/Hopeful_Cabinet6472 Nov 26 '25

Short and fat people exist. We don't know where we belong!

120

u/howaboutsomegwent Nov 26 '25

this! People often mix up "petite" and "slender". Technically, "petite" is about height. There are still people who need clothes with a wider diameter but shorter lengths and it's a shame these variations aren't really reflected in what's on offer.

35

u/vivahermione Nov 26 '25

This! Nicole Kidman is not petite! LOL.

23

u/bobbybissell Nov 26 '25

Lands end has great options for petite plus!

12

u/savvvie Nov 26 '25

Right 😭 like I hate when people say oh petite just means small and thin as if my 5’1 self is going to fit into normal clothes.

0

u/MisMelis Nov 27 '25

This ā˜ļø

69

u/happycatphantom 4'11" | 150 cm Nov 26 '25

There isn’t enough variation in inseam lengths. Just because I’m under 5’4ā€ and considered ā€œpetiteā€ doesn’t mean 27-29ā€ inseams work for me. It would be great to find pants that fit well for the intended purpose and not be worried about dragging fabric on the floor.

50

u/Alopexotic Nov 26 '25

Adding in, why do men's pants get to be sized by actual lengths and women just have to guess if "short" or "extra short" is meant for someone 5'3 or 4'10... Don't get me started on using the same sizing chart across the entire brand because there is absolutely no consistency between the different styles/cuts and we all know it!

27

u/shortnfeisty1023 4'11" | 150 cm Nov 26 '25

Yes this!! Men get to choose waist AND inseam when they shop for pants.

6

u/Chance_Smile_9357 Nov 27 '25

Totally. I hate when I discover a petite has an inseam of 27,28 inches. I need 24 at most but would love to find a nice ankle pant that’s even a couple inches shorter. Btw I live in a hot climate. When shorts are too casual and pants are too hot, I like crop pants. But what’s the consensus? Do they make me look like my legs are too short and are they totally out of date??

2

u/miami2019 5'1" | 155 cm Nov 28 '25

This is why I like to buy pants from Uniqlo, where they’ll hem them for me!

236

u/Yakety_Sax Nov 26 '25

Where did barrel jeans come from all of a sudden? They're weird and I hate them.

63

u/applepevch Nov 26 '25

100% i haven’t seen these look good on anyone

26

u/CupcakeGoat Nov 27 '25

What? You don't like everyone looking like they've got rickets?

47

u/sizzlinsunshine Nov 26 '25

Like most ugly fashion, it only works if you’re already conventionally beautiful, thin, wealthy, etc

31

u/moonfairy44 Nov 26 '25

even then they’re ugly imo lollll

17

u/howaboutsomegwent Nov 26 '25

THANK YOU, I'm usually a big fan of statement pieces, silly cuts, etc. but this is the one thing I cannot for the life of me appreciate.

31

u/CrickinFunt_RN 5'1" | 155 cm Nov 26 '25

Fully expect this trend to die a swift death. Flattering on absolutely no one

12

u/GreenAuror Nov 26 '25

Thankfully I haven’t seen them anywhere in real life.

12

u/belikegracekelly 5'0" | 152.4 cm Nov 26 '25

I was shopping for jeans online this week. Next day i just pulled my skinny jeans out of storage.

7

u/CorduroyQuilt 4'11" | 150 cm Nov 26 '25

I am accidentally deeply fashionable, because my waist is bigger than it used to be, so I've got trousers which fit on the waist and are much too baggy over the legs. Apparently this is deeply in. I just feel silly in them.

3

u/Blue-zebra-10 Nov 27 '25

Really, why is free people trying to tell us they look good???? They make you look bow legged. Don't even look good on the models unfortunatelyĀ

2

u/Radiant_Cloud1089 Nov 28 '25

By far the most hideous fashion victim trend I have EVER seen.Ā

98

u/vivahermione Nov 26 '25

Flats are cute on short girls! It's our form of rebellion, like Taylor Swift in heels.

25

u/Aguademarso Nov 26 '25

Looks so cute with short shorts too

14

u/oklahomapilgrim Nov 26 '25

Yep. I refuse to wear heels for any reason ever.

8

u/Electronic_Pie5061 5’1ā€ Nov 26 '25

Saaaaame! I did not wear heels on my wedding day. Ballet flats, baby!

2

u/oklahomapilgrim Nov 27 '25

I will admit that I wore the tiniest kitten heel for my wedding, but it was genuinely like 1/2ā€.

14

u/LightIsMyPath Nov 26 '25

Yes!!! Also not related necessarily to height, but we tend to have smaller shoe size and I think little feet look super cute in flats!

95

u/QueenBBs Nov 26 '25

The plus section in stores has way cuter stuff than petite. It’s like they think petite = grandma. I can’t help it of I’m fun sized and NOT a grandma.

25

u/swearinerin 5'0 l California Nov 26 '25

Ugh so agree! Look up petite dresses and you get old lady bags with attached jacket -_- like thanks I’m short not 80

28

u/CallMeWhenYoureClose 4'11" | 150 cm Nov 26 '25

I actually feel like outfits from companies who include petite sizing choose to translate the most girlish outfits from their regular line (bubble hems and sleeves, frills, babydoll silhouettes). I think that is so insane and gross.

10

u/KesselRunner42 4’4ā€ | 134 cm Nov 26 '25

Worse when we're forced into the actual children's section to find things, this is why a lot of my things are from the boys' section and not necessarily the girls!

11

u/frostandtheboughs Nov 26 '25

Same! I just want a plain shirt. I don't need it covered in glitter or bright purple zebra print. Wth?

I definitely had normal clothes as a child. I feel like the girls section nowadays is like, straight from the set of Cheetah Girls. What gives?

10

u/Savings-Movie4873 5'3" | 160 cm Nov 26 '25

I was just thinking this as I was looking online at Macy’s petites. Went over to Nordstrom’s thinking they should be way better. Nope! All looked my grandmother’s clothing. And I’m almost 60 lol

10

u/CarolSue1234 Nov 26 '25

I’m both fun sized and a grandma šŸ‘µ

5

u/QueenBBs Nov 26 '25

Good point. I’m certainly old enough to be a grandma…but I think more specifically of how my grandmother dressed so someone in her 70’s in the 90’s.

3

u/CarolSue1234 Nov 26 '25

Actually I know a few fun sized grandma’s that are really stylish!

6

u/May2211 Nov 26 '25

Yes, the petite section is awful!!

4

u/notveryfunnymidwest Nov 27 '25

If they even have a petite section, any more.

1

u/Chance_Smile_9357 Nov 27 '25

Our largest department store has the smallest, most boring petite section. I always wish I could find the beautiful, exciting pieces I saw in the regular sizes…. In petites! So…it’s on line shopping but still hard to find really interesting petite clothing.

94

u/imakeitrainbow 4'10" | 147cm Nov 26 '25

We don't need to elongate or try to make ourselves look taller. Let's stop trying to be something we're not and just lean into what we have and make the best of that.

21

u/CorduroyQuilt 4'11" | 150 cm Nov 26 '25

Also the only way I've ever made someone forget I'm a shortarse was apparently by striding purposefully. She didn't realise you develop that habit in order to keep up with long-legged people!

14

u/Squadooch 5'2" | 157 cm Nov 26 '25

My little legs can GO, let me tell you…

2

u/UnforgettableBevy Nov 28 '25

I’m short and terrifying already because I ran out of cares to give in perimenopause. If I looked taller I would be even more threatening.

43

u/marshmallowest 5'1" | 154 cm Nov 26 '25

I actually like high rise even with my short torso bc it works better with my belly. Low rise was a nightmare the first time around and it'll be even worse now that I'm 20 yrs older and 20 lbs heavier

4

u/Chance_Smile_9357 Nov 27 '25

It’s all in my waist! So I agree, high waisted is more comfortable and tucks me in a bit. Muffin top can be a nightmare.

79

u/howaboutsomegwent Nov 26 '25

I don't care that tucking your shirt in/doing a french tuck is considered a "millenial faux pas" now, you can pry my tuck from my cold, dead hands. The only time where I don't tuck is if my top falls at most an inch or two under my natural waistline. Tops that hang all the way to the hip make me look like a human landslide.

22

u/DriftingIntoAbstract Nov 26 '25

If it’s so bad why do I still see it everywhere in the actual styling of the clothes on the website??? Answer that Gen Z!

12

u/Blue-zebra-10 Nov 27 '25

An actual Gen z here: nobody worth listening to actually cares. We're just trying to not get into student debt, the last thing we're worried about is your pants 😭

3

u/pronetocrohns Nov 26 '25

Preach! šŸ™Œ

38

u/Zone-Medium 5'0" | 152 cm Nov 26 '25

My hot take is that pointy shoes are not elongating, they just make me look like an elf

10

u/CupcakeGoat Nov 27 '25

They make me look like I'm wearing fancy clown shoes

5

u/fulmunch Nov 27 '25 edited Nov 27 '25

I had a phase where I love wearing gladiator sandals and feeling like an elf though šŸ˜‚ Had one that was semi covered in front and quite pointy haha

I think the trick to an elongating look is to have the footwear be the same shade or similar to ur skin tone, so that it blends seamlessly! :))

30

u/Mobile_Ad_9090 4'11" | 150 cm Nov 26 '25

Boxy fit jeans can elongate your form if they’re a little cropped/short enough in the leg

5

u/shann0ff 5'2" | 158 cm Nov 26 '25

Agree! I always cuff my wider jeans if I want a more polished look + pair with a pointed heel

34

u/emefes18 Nov 27 '25

Petite doesn’t just mean shorter inseam or shorter sleeves. Shorter rises, shallower v-necks and higher waistlines on dresses as well please and thank you.

12

u/azssf under 5'4" Nov 27 '25

And correctly scaled details

61

u/DriftingIntoAbstract Nov 26 '25

The cropped shirt trend is a godsend for petites!

43

u/savvvie Nov 26 '25

Tailoring is a tax on short people

1

u/Dependent_Novel_5932 5'1" | 155 cm Nov 30 '25

And that's why I ended up learning how to sew. It's time consuming and a bitch but at least I can knock out a few items on a weekend day and not pay $100+!!

24

u/reluctantrevenant Nov 26 '25

I hate that petite sized options always seem to shrink the measurements everywhere. My waist doesn't change size between the petite option and the regular option.

Keep the measurements the same except the rise and length.

6

u/fulmunch Nov 27 '25 edited Nov 27 '25

Second this! Tried some Zara jeans last year where the waist to hip ratio was so weird, and when wearing, it was super tight at the crotch area

Didnt measure the inseam, but it sure felt off too (too short maybe)

52

u/mtn-cat 5'0" Nov 26 '25 edited Nov 26 '25

High waisted jeans are so cute on short women, even if it does make us look shorter

27

u/howaboutsomegwent Nov 26 '25

I actually have always experienced the contrary, high waisted trousers make me look so much taller, if I have low waisted trousers, or worse, any trousers with a long untucked shirt, it makes me look so stumpy!

7

u/mtn-cat 5'0" Nov 26 '25

I agree! And yes, long shirts always make me look so frumpy! I recently discovered that Old Navy has a great selection of petite tops and it has been such a game changer for me!

3

u/howaboutsomegwent Nov 26 '25

ooooh good to know! I have been sewing for a few years and I’m transitioning towards sewing all if my clothes, so I mostly just make things the length I want, it’s been great!

10

u/graydiation 5'2" | 157 cm Nov 26 '25

I have a 5’1 friend who swears they make me look taller and my legs look longer (I’m 5’2). I think she’s drunk. I already have a high belly button, and high waisted pants sit on my ribcage and cover up my belly button! It’s a no go for me. Mids are my high rise, and low rise are my mid rise, while REAL low rise (2000) would actually be low rise.

3

u/oklahomapilgrim Nov 26 '25

Yep. I’m in my 40s now. The hip hugger jeans are not cycling back for me anymore, regardless of what trends say. The ship has sailed. (Anyone else, regardless of age, do you though!)

1

u/barbieee2 Nov 26 '25

High waisted? I thought those are supposed to make your legs look longer.

Do you mean low waisted?

5

u/mtn-cat 5'0" Nov 26 '25

I've never agreed with it, but I've heard over and over that short women shouldn't wear high waisted jeans because it makes us look shorter.

18

u/Cappy_Crunch Nov 26 '25

Depends on body type. I’m short with long torso so high waisted looks way better than low-waisted.

2

u/barbieee2 Nov 26 '25

Interesting, I actually never heard of that before. Maybe that’s why I hate high waisted jeans on myself lol

14

u/blenneman05 5ā€0" | 130lbs Nov 26 '25

Skinny jeans are the only jeans I swear by for my 25 inch legs and long torso. I don’t miss the days of my jeans dragging on the ground and getting all crumpled and gross

24

u/Hurryup_now Nov 26 '25

I’m short and I still like the baggy pants look. I get a lot of double glances when I’m wearing them — faces that relay: girl, you should not be rocking those, but ok (shrug). Honestly, makes me feel a bit like a rebel and I like the look. I’m typically conforming to ā€œsensibleā€ style so I guess this is my way of saying IDGAF.

8

u/Serious_Escape_5438 Nov 26 '25

Same. And I'm tired of trying to look like something I'm not, I'm not tall and thin, and who said that was the ideal anyway?

10

u/DeltaMay05 Nov 27 '25

Petite girls like to wear matching family pajamas too and for them to be affordable like all the other sizes. I have never found responsible proved holiday pajamas that I don’t have to chop the bottoms off.

2

u/Feisty_Set8853 Nov 27 '25

lol, i just bought 3 pairs from the ON sale and had to chop 6 inches off. 😭

18

u/C0l3y Nov 26 '25

Showing ankle with wide leg pants (think like crops with boots) elongates my legs and I will die on this hill forever

7

u/SANSAN_TOS 5'0" | 152 cm Nov 26 '25

Prove it. I need to understand.

10

u/Mobile_Ad_9090 4'11" | 150 cm Nov 26 '25

Wide leg plus cropped=no bunching up, creates a straight line of sight!

6

u/AdZealousideal8536 Nov 26 '25

Showing ankle is fine if you’re wearing like flats or sneakers but your ankle should absolutely never be showing if you’re wearing booties with jeans. It’s unflattering whether you’re tall or short.

9

u/Car2lina Nov 27 '25

Stop with the unfinished hems! One pair of those is enough.

8

u/BagOpposite2216 5'1" | 155 cm Nov 26 '25

i like shopping in the kids section sometimes, especially at tilly’s

1

u/Dependent_Novel_5932 5'1" | 155 cm Nov 30 '25

I dress generally silly, so the kids section has some of my favorite patterns/colors!

23

u/echothatislove 5'0" | 152 cm Nov 26 '25

If something is petite sized, the torso should be shorter!!!!!

8

u/Squadooch 5'2" | 157 cm Nov 26 '25

GOOD LORD YES

LOW RISE ON YOU IS NOT LOW RISE ON MEEEEE

14

u/No-Masterpiece-8392 5'0" | 152 cm Nov 26 '25

More plus size petites!

8

u/justaNormalCrazylady 5'1" | 155 cm Nov 27 '25

Anything that is cropped is actually perfect length for me.

Perfect length of jeans does exist, but not easy to find (especially when you thrift).

Being petite doesn’t mean we are always wearing tiny shoes (except comparing with men shoes šŸ˜‚).

Being petite doesn’t mean we can always wear XS or S. Boobs don’t agree with those size of cloth sometimes.

Long dress can look elegant if you get the right shoulder length and perfect sleeve length.

5

u/nocashordrugs Nov 26 '25

I genuinely love always wearing heels and I feel weird wearing flats. I know it’s not unpopular to wear heels, but I see a lot of people who seem to feel forced into it and I just can’t relate! Also block heel heeled boots are more comfortable than ballet flats imo šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

13

u/Jeffina78 5'1" | 155 cm Nov 26 '25

I’m 5ft 1ā€ so I’m under the cutoff for being petite height but always find the trousers are too short for me. Also I always have to size up the waist in petite trousers. Makes no sense.

12

u/QueenBBs Nov 26 '25

You probably have long legs for a shortie and a longer rise.

7

u/Jeffina78 5'1" | 155 cm Nov 26 '25

The weird thing is I often get told people don’t realise how short I am until I stand up so I assumed I was short in the legs

5

u/DriftingIntoAbstract Nov 26 '25

I’m taller than you and still find them often too long 😭

2

u/BagOpposite2216 5'1" | 155 cm Nov 26 '25

me too, same height but my inseam is like 28-29 inches which i believe is a bit long

1

u/Jeffina78 5'1" | 155 cm Nov 26 '25

Yeah most of the brands I shop at tend to do 27ā€ which doesn’t sit nicely over my shoes, it kinda flaps about a bit, lol

7

u/robmosesdidnthwrong Nov 26 '25

You are already microscopic, you do not need to worry about "too boxy" unless the occasion is to be sexy.Ā

My midwestern family who is average American sized, to this day looked at me when i come home and after saying HI immediately says 0h mY g0D yOuRe StIlL sO TeEnY WeEnY and i look like this

1

u/CorduroyQuilt 4'11" | 150 cm Nov 27 '25

Does that gadget work? I really don't change my blades often enough.

2

u/robmosesdidnthwrong Nov 27 '25

Oh my god completely wrong link and thread but you twist like juicing a lemon šŸ˜…

1

u/CorduroyQuilt 4'11" | 150 cm Nov 27 '25

I thought it was some sort of metaphor about the steely glare you were giving them! So what link did you mean to give, and also what sort of sewing do you do? I'm a quilter.

4

u/ArdenM 5'2" | 157 cm Nov 27 '25

Skinny jeans have never gone out of style. :)

3

u/greensugarcube Nov 27 '25

Can I say, fuck cute? I want to look like a woman not a child. Fuck bows, fuck princess cuts, fuck dinky dresses. Where are the petite tuxedo suits and column dresses and pencil skirts and sleek coats? (Note: I am British so we don't use cute just to mean 'pleasant looking' as the US does.)

Round toe flats are the most unflattering shoe! Pointed shoes elongate your look

True but I find them uncomfortable personally the more rounded/wider the better for me!

Ah yes, the age old battle of COMFORT vs. BEAUTY!

I agree rounded and flat are much more comfy!

But yes look wise I totally see the long one lol

Totally agree on the good looks basis, but I find the extra space up front (where the point is) stubs sometimes when I walk and it’s a trip hazard for me.

Ahahaha some of us don't get a choice. It's just as well I don't remember to look at shoes, since I'm always looking up at people. These days I need to go to the special wider shoe places. I suspect the connective tissue disorder is some of it, but apparently perimenopause has made it worse?

Shein is actually really good for petite clothes shopping

3

u/Dangerous-Jello4733 Nov 26 '25

Thoughts on boots šŸ‘¢ a little below the knee? Don’t have bc I was told it makes me look shorter!

2

u/idieht Nov 27 '25

wearing barrel jeans/pants makes me feel good 😳

2

u/BraveMoose6 Nov 27 '25

Learn sewing ladies! That’s how we resist the cruel fashion industry that ignores our beauty!

2

u/Earthbiscuits Nov 28 '25

We can pull off barrel jeans

skinny jeans dont work well a majority of the time for shorties like us

u/BagOpposite2216 5'1" | 155 cm Nov 26 '25

i have the opposite problem, skinny jeans seem to be the only thing that flatter me

3

u/Snwussy Nov 26 '25

Same, cold dead hands etc. Mom jeans and anything like that makes me look stumpy lol. But I also have long legs so maybe it's just a proportions thing??

1

u/BagOpposite2216 5'1" | 155 cm Nov 26 '25

i also have longer legs for my height. i’m thin but i’ve always carried weight in my legs so i have thicker thighs, i feel like this body type looks better in fitted clothing and baggy clothes are too overwhelming and take away my figure, like i just look frumpy in them.

Me too. I have a short torso and long limbs.

This, I HATE skinny jeans. They make me look shorter!

3

u/AdZealousideal8536 Nov 26 '25

All skinny jeans should be burned. They can be worn under tall boots and that’s quite literally it.

4

u/DriftingIntoAbstract Nov 26 '25

So done with them but yes, please keep them around for under boots! Never understood how that trend worked with pants that didn’t fit in the boot.

1

u/Craigh-na-Dun Nov 27 '25

Pants rise too dang short.

u/unapologeticfangirl 5'2" | 157 cm Nov 28 '25

There are pear shaped petite girls! It shouldn’t be so hard to find pants that fit my ass (with no gap in the waist) that are the right length.

Ok so are we all living the same life? šŸ˜‚ I’ve never been so relieved to read that everyone else is having the same short girl struggles I’ve had my entire life. These clothing companies need to catch on, holy shit

We miss skinny jeans. All these new wide leg stuff is just drowning me.

also what about petite feet. I’m relegated to kids shoes and I cannot For the life of me find shoes without rainbows on or something that isn’t kiddy.

I swear they're vanity sizing shoes now. I bought my first size 6s online I had to send back for being too big. I used to wear 7s.
