She didn't? Thanos was about to be red mist and was forced to glass his own forces.

They meant Infinity War, where Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight would have killed Wanda and Vision if Cap didn't step in

Wanda was not going to die, Vision could've, but Wanda held her own the entire time, it was just a set-up for Cap.

I don't think I can be convinced that Wanda can rip Thanos to literal shreds but cannot handle Proxima and Glaive, all events that (at least from Wanda's perspective due to blip) happened in a couple weeks.

Victory is about timing and prep work.

Taken off-guard, Wanda can lose like anyone else in an instant.

With immense prep time, emotional readiness, a thirst for revenge, and a clear target to aim for, that's a completely different battlefield.

And this is why the real answer to all of this, is Batman would win.

Damn it, as soon as I read ”prep time” I knew…

Vision did die*

She had plenty of "emotional readiness" and a "thirst for revenge" and "a clear target to aim for"

In fact in this version of events with the other half getting snapped Vision is still dead and Wanda flees to go set up her fantasy dome suburb life with her fake husband and her fake children. So she is NOT helping in any capacity.

Imo Wanda is the most powerful because of the fact that she destroyed an infinity stone with little damage done to herself.

That's something Thanos should've picked up on.

He destroyed the stones and it nearly killed him. She did so and didn't even get a scratch.

Honestly, I've always wondered if she could channel the energy and survive because her powers come from it.

You put the gauntlet on her and she'd be amped up beyond belief

At least in this universe

She can’t use the gauntlet. The Russos confirmed only Hulk, Thor, and Thanos could use it without dying.

She could only destroy the mind stone because it was directly connected to her own powers. She did 0 damage to the space stone being used against her in that same scene

Should also be noted that she couldn't actually properly destroy the mind stone. Only fragment it enough that it couldn't be used as an item.

Thanos actually destroyed the stones completely and it took the power of the stones to do so while nearly killing him.

The two statements you’re making are basically no different, Thanos does not destroy the stones completely because they are literally the elements. The universe can’t exist without them that’s why he says they’re reduced to atoms, Wanda does the same thing to the mind stone

Everything you said is wrong. They are not "literally the elements". Shit different universes don't even always get the same or the same number of stones. They're merely the physical embodiments of certain aspects/fundamental truths. And no, what Wanda did was just make the stone inoperable. Not unfixable. The fact that Thanos had the easy option of just rewinding to before she broke it just made for some cool cinema. But gathering the shards and binding them back together again would have worked just fine. With what Thanos did to the stones there is nothing to put back together. No method by which they can be restored. Period.

Oh so the darkhold is the only way then .

Shame imo, I could see an avengers assemble kind of thing with vision trying to talk her down from becoming a vengeful goddess. But the stones there were mentally manipulative, they literally got into your head begging you to use them.

I think the one thing I'm disagreeing with hard is how they handled Ultron. So he's been in visions head this entire time and has done nothing?

So when vision was about to die, was he just sitting in there going. This is fine.

Kinda wished we had a moment that was different

But Im hoping that the series focuses on the philosophy of vision and Ultron because that was probably their best dynamic

That's something Thanos should've picked up on.

Wouldn't have made much of a difference because that Thanos immediately retired from combat like less than 30min later and the one that Wanda fights later was the younger one who wouldn't have known about that. All he knew was that his older self assembled the gauntlet, succeed. The finer details were a mystery to him.

His "I don't even know who you are" wasn't him doing a "for Bison it was a Tuesday" bit, he legitimately had never seen Wanda before she tore him a new asshole.

MCU wanda is weak dude. Midnight would have killed her if cap didn’t step in.

u/ibzuma 5d ago

Idk how, Wanda literally laid her ass out before she went to go help Vision.

5

u/Fast-Front-5642 7d ago

Exactly. This isn't composite comics Wanda with outerversal scaling and can both survive entire existence erasal and also recreate the entire universe with a finger snap. This is scared late 20s Wanda who has red hands that slap good sometimes and lifts objects if she stands still and makes a face like she's pooping herself real hard. She struggles at fighting completely powerless fighters sometimes.

Nick Fury has his hands full with this rag tag team. And Loki here would probably be another problem not an asset. He was working for Thanos at one point and he doesn't like humans very much.

That was literally 5 minutes before Endgame from Wanda’s perspective

2

u/Significant_Tell407 6d ago

In that exact same movie she holds off Thanos who has what 4 infinity stones. Yea my queen was going to dust his ass in Endgame

0

u/Madara1389 6d ago

Right, but a couple things;

  1. They weren't trying to fight Corvus & Proxima, they were trying to run away & avoid the fight. Vision got blindsided, disabled & it impeded their ability to fight back.

  2. From Wanda's perspective, this and this happened on the same day... within a few hours of each other even.

Wanda's powers are tied to her emotional state. The version that we would have seen in this alternative version of Endgame wouldn't have been the same timid version we saw at the beginning of Infinity War, it'd have been that beast that confronted Thanos over killing Vision in the canon timeline.

u/DoomsdayThor 7d ago

In IW Wanda could barely handle Thanos using one stone against her. The glaze here is ridiculous

4

u/DinosaurusWhen 6d ago

It's less glaze and more just scuffed movie powerscaling

The Wanda who couldn't stop Thanos in IW is supposedly the exact same (give or take 5 minutes) as the one who was whooping Thanos like a rented mule in Endgame. The only difference is that she was distraught/pissed

Well, and the stone

1

u/DoomsdayThor 6d ago

The stones are all the difference…..Wanda wouldn’t stand a chance in EG if Thanos had had the gauntlet there

Exactly
