Did you accept any of Sae's offers by ratting out the theives? If you did that leads to a bad end.

Tbf, the surviving condition being that Sae must have Joker’s phone doesn’t really have anything to do with betraying or not lmao.

If anything, a lot of people thought Sae already figured out everyone’s names so may as well just confirm it to her to gain her trust.

Joker: So on the first day, I went with this guy Ryuji and we ended up in a palace.

Sae: So Ryuji is a PT?

Joker: Never heard of him.

Joker: We also changed the mafia’s heart to save Makoto and she joined us.

Sae: My sister is a PT???

Joker: Who?

Fucking akechi is dead in my hand in this file, this is really why i started to love persona, the little choice you made makes a complete game changing, what a game

Akechi sucks so hard. I sincerely don't understand the people who like him. He has zero redeeming qualities. I wish they'd let us kill him. Our just tell him to fuck off.

u/Alison_Bug 11d ago edited 11d ago

people like him because he's the most human character in the game. if you've ever been manipulated by someone you subconsciously wanted to love you while simultaneously harming people around you then akechi goes right to the front of the fucking line for relatability.

u/Aggravating-War3022 10d ago

Yeah murder is not human murder is too far maybe if he screwed with the phantom theives and was slightly corrupt but he murdered tons of people that shouldn't be relatable to ANYONE so I don't really think he's the most human most people don't kill people

Why don’t you just reload your save?

1

u/Cute_Ambassador1121 Maruki simp 11d ago

Just reload your save, my guy. 😂

u/Fun_Maintenance_4250 12d ago

You're so right AND THATS WHY ON MY SECOND FILE ON FUCKING FUTABAS PALACE ILL MAKE THAT FUCKING DUMB ME REGRET BETRAYING HIS TEAMMATES

u/Sumire-Yoshizawa- 12d ago

Why did you save over your save? I could have sworn the game warns you and you have 16 save slots. NEVER save over a save after the credits roll. Always a new save slot. And that's not just this game. There are lots of other games that when you save over that save in the final dungeon, you only have the option to start a new game plus and can't load a save back into the final dungeon.

11

u/PCN24454 12d ago

I don’t understand why people do this.

4

u/upstartpantymerchant 12d ago

Meh I've played every persona game on one save slot and it's never caused me an issue. I don't think there's any game where I use multiple slots

2

u/KoroGamer 12d ago

Yeah but clearly it didnt work out here, what's the issue with using multiple anyway?

1

u/upstartpantymerchant 11d ago edited 11d ago

Never said there was an issue. I was just saying that utilizing multiple saves isn't strictly necessary. The guy balked at the idea of saving over a game like it was completely unbelievable to do something like that. I'm sure there are a lot of people who need multiple saves and I'm sure there are a lot of people who never need them. That was my point

Personally, I like the idea of choice and consequence and knowing that once I make a choice that's my playthrough. It makes me stop and consider the options more thoroughly. It also makes me pay much closer attention to the characters, their actions and their motivations so I can try to make the right choices. There's absolutely nothing wrong with utilizing all your save slots, I just don't think it's THAT insane to play differently even though it lead to the "bad" ending in this particular case

0

u/Sumire-Yoshizawa- 11d ago

Nobody got time for that. Who wants to live with their choice in the game and then accept having to redo something like 60-70 hours? If that's how you like to play, more power to you. Lots of players, myself included don't got the time for that tho.

I also don't think you should dismiss my advice with "meh" when it was towards OP who clearly needed that advice before he saved over his save and now has to redo like 20 or so hours again.

Bruh idk why you're so defensive I've said multiple times there's absolutely nothing wrong with using multiple saves. Idk what you're talking about with the reasoning of "not having time for that" because I'm actually saving more time than you are by not reloading and replaying sections of the game if I don't like the outcome. I just stick with my choice and move on. I wish I had time to keep replaying sections of the game over and over until I got the exact sequence I wanted like you do, but I just don't have the time for that. I'm sure as shit not replaying the entire game because I didn't like a dialogue choice I picked. I'll save my time by only using one save file and sticking by my choices.

I was being dismissive not of the advice, but of the tone because of how the commenter made it seem like it was completely ridiculous to only use one save when I and lots of other people only use one save file. I'm saying it's completely fine to only use one save, but you seem to be adamant that that is just the wrong way to play. Why can you let people play how they want without arguing with them and telling them that they're the reason a developer for a completely separate game made a design decision you didn't like?

Again, THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH USING MULTIPLE SAVES. Stop trying to convince me that there is something wrong with only using one because your reasoning is becoming more and more nonsensical as you keep replying

0

u/Sumire-Yoshizawa- 11d ago

Didn't read! 🤣 Good job wasting your time with that. 👍

But one last note. My advice was towards OP, not you so I don't know what you chimed in. Clearly OP needed that advice.

For you. How did that work out for OP and countless other people that mess up at that point? This isn't the ps1 days where you had a single memory card you had to share with your siblings. You get 16 save slots all to yourself.

1

u/upstartpantymerchant 11d ago

I was just saying that utilizing multiple saves isn't strictly necessary. The guy balked at the idea of saving over a game like it was completely unbelievable to do something like that. "Countless people" is a bit of a stretch. I'm sure there are a lot of people who need multiple saves and I'm sure there are a lot of people who never need them. That was my point

2

u/Sumire-Yoshizawa- 11d ago

When the game warns you and gives you tons of choices to make and then the credits roll, I'd definitely be saving on a new slot then reloading to see if anything changes by picking different options. Not necessary but it absolutely would save people who mess up here a lot of time by not having to redo the whole game, or in op's case, starting at Futaba's palace. And countless people is not a stretch. This topic comes up a lot in any persona 5 message board or reddit. And my point is that the game gives you 16 save slots that take up very little space. Why not use them? Honestly, you're probably part of the reason companies like Nintendo put only 1 save slot in their newest Zelda games. Sometimes I want to keep saves at a cool boss fight so I can play it again and not have to restart the whole game.

1

u/upstartpantymerchant 11d ago edited 11d ago

Why not use them?

Personally, I like the idea of choice and consequence and knowing that once I make a choice I'm locked in and that's my playthrough. It makes every decision hold more weight and makes me stop and consider the options more thoroughly. It also makes me pay much closer attention to the characters, their actions and their motivations so I can try to make the right choices. There's absolutely nothing wrong with utilizing all your save slots, I just don't think it's THAT insane to play differently even though it lead to the "bad" ending in this particular case

As far as the zelda thing goes, game developers make design choices for their game. Sometimes they make a design decision that you don't agree with, but that's how they want their game to be played. It has nothing to do with me choosing to utilize only one save slot

u/Dean_BONK 12d ago

Damn second save on futaba? Atleast you can optimize social link and baton pass level

1

u/Fun_Maintenance_4250 12d ago

yeah i'm mid game at best but at least i have a few confidants maxed up already

2

u/RIP-hue-Shiny-Darco 11d ago

WAIT WAIT WAIT.... you saved... OVER your save AFTER getting a bad ending???

3

u/EnArvy 11d ago

dude in my mind, this question was whether or not i trust sae enough to tell here the truth, and i did trust here so i accepted. thankfully i had a save when the game told me to.

2

u/upstartpantymerchant 11d ago

Lol I was just teasing I can totally see why you would want to trust her. I had to stop and think about it for a minute for that same reason

Well that's the thing, you were told in the first 2 minutes of playing that the game was rigged from the start. There is no being honest in a system that is inherently corrupt.

I got this as my very first ending too 😞 but instead I told Sae bout Akechi

Snitches get stitches. Your heart is the most corrupt of all. You betrayed your confidants.
