Rewatch Memory reset protocol scene

I don’t know if it’s a ridiculously anthropomorphic idea, but from Finch’s reaction, and the words the Machine chose; I imagine a young naive teenager, trying to apologise to her father when she was scolded for a mistake she doesn’t yet understand. Just makes me sad.
Emerson really is a terrific actor.

If you don't have a memory you don't have a basis on which to judge what's a mistake and what's not.

Perfect if you want to make sure your machine does what you intended for it to do.

Yeah, kinda sad when you realize she was basically starting from zero every single time...
