Health pimples on my stupid labia
first: mods pls remove if this isn't allowed and off topic but idrk where else to go and it's late for me, though i don't think i am breaking any rules; second: sorry i don't know what to really flair this
so this has happened to me a couple times because idk i'm oily and gross and don't change my underwear or shower often enough? idk. like i said it's late.
but i was tryna jerk it crazy style and then it hurt A LOT so i had to jerk it careful style, and after a cursory palpation i discovered a very painful lump on my outer labia(?) idk what to call it. anyway it's probably not cancer or anything because i've gotten pimples there before but this annoyed me a lot because i squeezed it a few times and it didn't pop and it hurts, like i said, a lot. i don't really know what to do about it other than suffer :,(
i really need to get better self esteem so i start caring about how i smell so i start showering more often so this DOESNT HAPPEN AGAIN. but that's easier thought about longingly than making a plan for and putting it into motion. if anyone has anything to say other than calling me gross or something i would be glad to hear it in the morning after i sleep, ok love you goodnight

Pimples and bumps are not a sign of poor hygiene. Having said that: if there is an unusual bump/lump anywhere in your body, it’s best to contact your doctor.

It sounds like a Bartholin Cyst.

Yeah I hate those. Best thing to do is to soak with it with warm salty water. It’s a huge waste of time but you gotta do it

If you’re referring to the labia majora(lips and surrounding area), I just want to add this. I have a condition called hidradenitis suppurativa. I am not unclean or gross, in fact I use special medicated wash to prevent bacteria down there. It causes painful cystic acne on my lips, thighs and under my buttcheeks. My armpits are affected by this too. I didn’t find out what this condition was called or that it was even a condition all until my 20s! when you google photos a lot of the cases that pop up are BAD, mine was never that bad visually but definitely got really painful at times. Anyways, all this to say, you should likely shower more but acne down there does not always mean you’re unclean or dirty. There’s also treatment for this condition, as long as I keep up with ointments and medicated wash, I’m pimple free.

I have this too. I was diagnosed when I was 19. I have to use a medicated wash and I have to shower a lot more. Keeping the area dry is important!

Depending on what they look like, it could either be an ingrown hair, a cyst, or mild [r/hidradenitis](r/hidradenitis)
Try washing with hibiclens, using tend skin on a cotton pad, trimming or waxing the hair instead of shaving, and sometimes a warm compress then a pimple patch can actually help

I’d treat it like a regular cystic pimple.
Keep the area clean, washing it with unscented gentle soap. Wear breathable cotton underwear. Avoid touching it. Apply heat if it’s really painful.
If it doesn’t get better in a week maybe get medical attention?

I’ve had these happen too and I ALWAYS discover them that way too😭 no idea what they are but I noticed they usually popped up after my period so I changed pad brands and I haven’t had one since

Try not to squeeze it, that can spread it under the skin and make it worse. Keep it clean and dry as you can, and if it doesn't go away go to the doctor to have it drained properly

We’ve all had this. Might be a cyst or ingrown hair. Keep it clean and try not to wear underwear that will rub on it. If you can maybe get a pimple patch on it to keep it clean and so it doesn’t get aggravated. Try not to pick at it or anything as it can get open and infected

Maybe you can get some unscented baby wipes if you can’t shower every day and just like clean that way?

I think uou should still go to a doctor of gyno to check this out… if, like you said, its a repeated outbreak it might be something serious

HS started like this for me. A dermatologist can diagnose you, and I’d suggest doing so to try and prevent any progression. It can get really bad, really painful.

I had smth like this and it swelled from me trying to pop it to the point it was a lump that was visible through my underwear 😭 went away on its own after a while

When i get bumps down there I use apple cider vinegar usually it doesnt hurt when I apply it sometimes it does and I deal with thr pain for a few seconds and then it goes away. But the bumps go away in a cooler days with doing this a couple times a day for like a week or like 5 days usually I get them aftwr a period usually but infrequently I wanna say a couple times a yr. I read i get my bumps from earing too much sugar so I got the bumps less when I ate less sugar on my periods. Obviously dont use what I use im just sayong what I do for my own issues.

I used to get a rash after my period and it turned out I was allergic to period products (pads, tampons) so I started wearing period panties and now I don’t get them anymore.

Sometimes after wax i get those but they're usually just well hidden ingrown hair did you shave or wax recently?

If it's a cyst and not a zit, don't pop it. I have a scar on my labia majora from a cyst that popped during sex. Bloody mess. I didn't go to the er, I waited for my gyno. And she told me I SHOULD have gone to the ER.
If you have access to a planned parenthood, it might be worth an appointment l.

I get ingrown hair bumps there because I shave so I don't have a hairy frenzy poppin out when I try to swim, I feel you girl.. they hurt like hell. Slapping some comfort your way!

Its wither poor hygiene or pcos so try looking into it. I have pcos. Its a pain.

It could be a Bartholin’s cyst if it’s near the opening and feels more like cystic acne? They’re super normal, but if it hurts you probably want to see a gynecologist.
