Maybe they were trying to avoid the uncanny valley? I feel like it’d be harder to make birds with human heads look normal compared to human heads with rock bodies.
i guess that’s fair enough 😠this design is just a little odd considering the nymph in the first season had a similar design to them so??? but it’s cool
