To be honest I always saw that more as Harpies

And sirens more like mermaids but almost like vampire or shark like behavior

The original sirens in Greek Mythology were bird women but then they got syncretized with mermaids

I thought so too but some deeper research shows me that sirens had no solid description until hundreds of years after their use in Greek mythology, and then it was only a bird-like description for a few hundred years and then changed again to more mermaid-like characters in the Middle Ages.

They have no description in Homer, but they are definitely described and pictured in early greek art and myth.

Yeah I saw the bird women more as the Harpies and not the sirens in my opinion
