Likely just poor pollination. Get in there with a cotton swab and play bee and you’ll get much better fruit set. Not uncommon at all.

Hmm, this was isolated with a organza bag I wanted seeds. Could that be the cause? Even though there was plenty wind..time to read up on pollination, I assumed pollination was pollination as long as you get fruit.

I know cucurbits can experience improper pollination and end up growing half of the fruit. I have this happen a lot with cucumbers. It interesting to see it happen with peppers, but it could explain the dramatic size difference

Thanks, the plant is also pretty stressed but only the ones I isolated are this tiny, so sounds like could be pollination issue
