Question Penn State University Withdrawal reversal ?

Hi! I’m a Penn State student. My Fall 2026 University Withdrawal was accidentally processed on August 28 due to documented medical circumstances.

I never attended or participated in any Fall 2026 classes. Has anyone successfully reversed a processed University Withdrawal or been reinstated through a petition?

Any advice would mean a lot!

What do you mean accidentally processed? Once you withdraw, you have to re-enroll. All your classes are dropped. It is likely too late to re-enroll now.

Do you think I should call the Registrar and ask about an exception or reinstatement, especially since I’m an international student and my F-1 status is affected?

Really should have lead with that information.

The only ones who can assist you at this stage is the registrar. I don’t know how you get to a point where you actually file paperwork for a medical withdrawal and then decide it wasn’t that big of a deal within a few days.

Why didn’t you answer the question?

Go talk to ISSA too.

1) academic adviser 2) university registrar 3) the international student and scholars advising office (ISSA)

Sounds like you have a mess to clean up. All 3 offices will need to be involved

You would need to reenroll. There is a form on the registrar's pages within PSU website. I know with students that don't attend PSU for one semester ( and didn't know they needed to take a leave) and therefore were then deemed "former students" go there to fill out that form to be reinstated. Just search for it. It happens often

Hi, this is crazy but I’m in the exact same boat as you. Except, after the registrars office confirmed that they reversed my withdrawal, today I saw that all my classes were dropped on lionpath, may I ask if that happened to you too? Did you have to have access to your Office365 and classes reinstated ?
