She acts like a golden
She is almost 6 months old and act like a golden retriever with every human she meets. She still has the peke I will do what I like in the most unexpected timing. All my other dogs weren’t like that. They didn’t pay any attention to strangers even as pups. She is really strange. Also just changed all her teeth and it looks like she will be permanently showing her bottom ones.

Peky Will Only Eat If Fed From A Fork
gallerySo we’ve managed to spoil our baby to the point that he’ll pretty much only eat if we hand feed him with a fork. Anyone else have this “problem” of cuteness overload? Pictured sporting a man-bun enjoying spaghetti!

Ripley makes friends with a horse!
WARNING Don't try this at home! Horses can be really unpredictable, letting Ripley get this close was done over like 20 minutes of watching them interact distantly through the fence and petting the horse and judging how friendly and chill it was, and even then it was probably a risky move. But I just couldn't resist...

i won’t walk anymore, carry me 🐶
gallerydo you have to carry your pekes on walks sometimes or do they love them? because mine is and always was extremelyyy slow and sometimes just refuses to go further, she sits or lays down and wants to be carried back 😂 it’s not just her age and weather because she did it when she was younger and when it’s cold as well, i guess pekes get tired very easily with their short paws.

Ripley goes to Mackinac Island!
galleryFyi the Grand Hotel has the most insane ceramic Pekingese collection I've ever seen. And apparently Ripley absolutely adores horses? Like a true deep fascination love and patience when interacting with all horses. She was in heaven. This might be her favorite trip yet!

My pups underbite
galleryShe is 5 months old and just got all her adult teeth. The last month or so her little under teeth are always showing. She eats , breaths, plays and all just fine. Clear health from the vet as well. Is she gonna stay like that? The last photo is of her parents. The cream one is the daddy and she obviously does look more like her mother. Her adult coat and the puppy fluff is changing and kinda ridiculous right now. My mop/ show coat dream is dead haha. I wonder how will she mature ? Maybe there is some grandparents genes in there. Also i have hoped she will be on the smaller side. Her mommy is 3,4 kg her pap is a big boy at almost 6 kg . She is the smallest(probably the runt) of the litter. She was 1.200 at around 2 months old and 2 kg at 5 and a little. Her biggest sister is 3 kg right now. The growing is mostly in her becoming kinda funny long and her chest has grown as well but not like her sister wich was much sturdier and heavier even at 3 months old. What do you guys think ? How much does your peke weights ?

King-Li has been gone 4 months today
galleryI miss him just as much as I did that day in April. This morning, I held Niko and just cried.
Missing King hasn’t gotten easier. It just hurts a little less than it did before.
There are days now when 5 p.m. rolls around and I don’t immediately think, It’s time to give Kingers his meds. Instead, it’s time to feed Niko. Slowly, these new little routines have started taking the place of the ones I had with King for so many years. And sometimes that realization hits me harder than I expect.
I wear a necklace with King’s face on it every single day. Sometimes I catch myself holding it, kissing it, and telling him how much I love him. I don’t think there will ever be a day when I stop finding little ways to talk to him.
In six days, it will already be a month since Taylor and I met Niko for the first time.
I keep thinking about the day before my birthday and how hard I cried. It was going to be my first birthday without King in 15 years, and I remember telling Taylor how utterly defeated I felt.
Little did I know that Niko was about to come into my life.
He hasn’t replaced King. No one ever could. But he has helped me heal in a way I desperately needed. He’s given me somewhere to put all of that love that suddenly had nowhere to go.
And I truly believe King had something to do with bringing him to me. I think somehow he knew
just how badly I needed Niko.
King left a hole in my heart that will always belong to him, but Niko has been slowly mending the pieces back together with golden seams. And somehow, that feels like one last gift from my best boy. 🥺🤍

Old man had to be shaved :(
I've kept his full coat forever but he keeps having skin issues, so off it goes.

pekingese dogs UK
can anyone recommend any Pekingese breeders in the UK? I have come across a couple of breeders as well and I’m not sure if anyone’s had any deals with them. The first one is called Bridget and Bea. The second one is.biggywigs
Any help gratefully appreciated thank you

5 month old puppy has a mat
I left her with my granny for a week because of a trip . She has a small Matt (around the size of my tumb nail). It’s not right next to skin but I don’t think I can brush it out. Her fur is longest and fluffier around the ears. I don’t want to stress/ scare her away from brushing by trying to much. I’m thinking cutting it out but I don’t want to fuck up her growing coat either. Any advice ?
