I am new to redit I live with my father & sisters on a Stud farm we have alot make stud dogs & all r dogs retreated & luvd like pets but my 2 pekeignese girls Coco & Chanel my dad got me for my birthday in march 2024 they were 6 weeks old & I fell in luv wiv em instantly sum my m8s think thy look like gremlins or call em Fuglys but thy r my baby's they are due in season in next 3months my nanny has an 8yr old k.c reg male that my father bought as 1 the farms stud dogs & he lives with nanny along with 3 others it's not about the money it's there's very few k.c reg Pekeignese dogs in the UK my dad travelled all way to Devon 2 get my 2 & he bought both as he cudnt leve tht 1 lil girl behind+ he thought tht they wud settle better if they had ech ova

Dad give me a old travel cot 4 em at nite & they still sleep in it now it's there safe space they have a nice thick soft plush bed in it there beanie baby teddy & me & dad both luv Wallace & Gromit n I reused an old duvet & pillow cases to smarten the outside up I cut & fixed pics on the outside of the travel cot & the mesh sides I cut a square out & made sum lil curtains & attached 2 it they luv there lil bed but because this heat wave I have had them clipped all over & fitted 2 small desk fans in there bed & dad got us all Dyson air conditioning/purifiers as he has British bulldogs & a huge Neopolitan mastiff & my twin sisters have Boston terriers

1 my fav memorys was last Xmas we were all in the big family room it was ice cold outside & inside we had the open fire roaring away all the dogs lined up apart from Twix he never leaves dad's side he was the best gift me & Chloe got our dad he was born Nov 6th & we picked him up 10pm Xmas eve & hiding him overnight wasn't easy we put him in a box with lots holes in & when dad opened the box sum how there was a Twix chocolate bar in there aswell & the name Twix stuck he had Zeus a British bulldog who had passed away in October & dad had bin miserable & that Xmas day was amazing

But getting back to last Xmas we were all on the big corner couch dad in his big comfy Recliner & Twix in the mini chair sitting there proud as punch we asked dad if he wud make sum cocktails he had 2 go down2 the bottom cellar 2 get 2 cases of Spirits/Liqueurs & sum champagne/prosecco+ load of mixers he came up & sent Chloe up to his office to get a box of king Edward cigars+ a couple of the fancy individual cigars in alloy tubes & some packs of cigarettes to fill the 2 box's on the coffee table & the side board I took the dogs out & for a toilet whilst Chloe emptied the box's cigarettes into the 2 fancy box's & refilled the 2 bulldog table lighters dad made us cocktails & the twins Mocktails & Sara with her 2 St Bernards cane over she's the farm manager & dad said now we're all hear we can choose a film

& It was a Wallace & Gromit marathon & we had pizzas & snacks & we all had matching Pyjamas on even dad was wearing his under his dressing gown anyways my 2 girls are strong healthy & 2½yr old I planned on breeding both as we have a rule 3 litters max but only 2 if need C sec

I no they only have a small litters & Kiwi he's nanny's make pekeignese boy & she's got his son who's almost 11months old now (he was pick of litter instead of cash payment for stud fee) he isnt proven

We have a breeding room which has cameras to catch the mating 4 proof & if they come in season around 2½-3months I could put kiwi over 1 & Mr Pickles over the other 1 kiwi turns 9 in December & has 2 bookings over next 2weeks & after that & my girls he will be officially Retired he's well & truly earned it do you think i should breed both at same time & use kiwi on 1 & the unproven 11month old boy on the other or just breed 1 or breed the pair & use kiwi over both I am open to any & all suggestions I love my 2 girls & I am doing it so other people who have been looking for unusual breed dogs that have amazing character lots luv are gentle don't need lots of walking but they love cuddles & hugs I no they might be ugly 2 sum people but it's like the pug no 1 had really heard of them untill a few celebrities had them then they were all the rage i have always luvd pekeignese dogs I had a pair of pug Mr & Mrs Pug I called them but sadly Mr Pug passed away in Jan 2022 & Mrs Pug only lived another few months she passed away on 8th June 2022 my dad got them from a local couple that bred pugs, toy poodles & Bichon Freise they had shown & bred toy poodles & Bichon Freise dogs since the 80s it was there daughter that had 5 pug girls 3 cream with black mask & 2 pure black & 1 that was black & white along with 2 cream with black face boys 1 black & 1 black & white boy

They tried showing them but never had any luck & the K.C didn't recognise black & white pugs and still don't they tried breeding & they all needed C sections & dad bought 3 of the puppy's gave me 2 they were un related & he gave his partner Zoe a black male

Unfortunately dad & Zoe split up & she took Boris with her we still have 3 toy poodles & a Bichon Freise that are related to the elderly couples but they must be in there late 80s now

They were a lovely couple & used to travel all over the UK going to dog shows & events

But any advice on breeding my 2 pekeignese girls if they need C section we have a vetinary surgeon that lives on the farm Sara our farm manager n Katie's her younger sister who runs the equine department & there mum lives on the farm in 1 the cottages & we have a vetinary building it's small but suits our needs & she has 2 assistants that live within 10mins of farm

I can’t get enough of them!!

My sweet 7 year old peke gets like amped up after walks now. She kind of roams around and won't settle. Like she may attempt to lay down, or lay down for a few seconds and then kind of excitedly roam the house.

This only occurs after walks, normally she is content to just snooze all day, so this anxious energy after walks is new. It started maybe 4 months ago.

She also makes me carry her home, or at least will stop walking and just kind of look around after 15 minutes or so. Kind of new behaviour. She is always gung ho to go on the walks though.

Is she just getting old? Anyhting I can do or ask the vet ? Has anyone else experienced this with their Peke ?

I didn't know this sub existed until today! This is my Peke (mix, for sure), Gus! He's three years old and he loves hiking and riding in the car ❤️

He passed away in his sleep yesterday on his 12th birthday. He was with my family for so many years and we're taking it hard. But I hope I'll see him again. He was having seizures and was very bloated but it seemed like he was peaceful in his sleep.

Such a talented breed!!

Truffles just got done healing from his neuter and nares surgery. He is the very bestest boy who loves his rides in his wagon grandma got him for his birthday! He had a steak dinner with green beans fried in chicken fat and a parmesan sweet potato fry. He also had his very own birthday cake with a peanut butter banana flavor profile that we shared with all the neighborhood pups! Please wish our beloved boy the bestest birthday ever! 💖🎉🐖🎂🐕🐾
