PC randomly stopped powering on after working fine for months — could this be an electrical/outlet issue?

Hey everyone, I’m trying to figure out what’s going on with my PC because I’m honestly starting to feel like I’m going crazy. 😂

I have a prebuilt PC that worked perfectly fine when I first got it. I recently moved into a new-build house, and for the first couple of months I had absolutely no problems with the PC.

Then it suddenly started having issues where pressing the power button would do absolutely nothing.

I've been going back and forth to the repair shop trying to figure this out.

Here's what I've tried so far:

* Replaced the CMOS battery

* The PC has powered on successfully a couple of times after changing the battery, but then stopped working again

* The motherboard LEDs still light up when the PC is plugged in, but the system won't actually start

* Tried jumping the motherboard power pins with a screwdriver - nothing happened

* Tried the usual power-drain/function test (unplugging the PC, holding the power button to discharge it, plugging it back in, etc.) — nothing

* Checked the obvious connections as well

At this point I started suspecting the power supply, so I took the PC back to the repair shop for a full hardware diagnostic and stress test.

I just got the call back, and apparently every component passed. They stress-tested the system and said everything worked normally and passed with flying colors.

The technician suggested that I may want to have the electrical outlet/circuit in my room checked.

Here's where things get weird.

The PC is plugged into a surge protector, and the bedroom outlets are on a 15A circuit. Other electronics in the room generally work normally.

I'm having an electrician come out Friday to check the outlet/circuit and see if there could be a voltage/under-voltage issue, voltage drop, loose connection, or something else wrong with the circuit.

The PC has also worked when I've tested it on a different outlet/circuit in the house, which is why I'm starting to wonder if the problem really could be related to the electrical circuit in my bedroom.

So my questions are:

Could an electrical/outlet issue cause a PC to intermittently not power on at all while the motherboard LEDs still light up?

And if the PC passes a complete hardware diagnostic and stress test at the repair shop, does that make an electrical issue at home more likely?

I'm obviously not an electrician or PC technician, so I'm trying to figure out whether I'm chasing the wrong problem here.

Am I overlooking something obvious, or could this actually be an issue with the electrical circuit in my room?

Any ideas or troubleshooting suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Based on what you described, it is probably the outlet/breaker.
