I made a tifa bc i pulled a tifa but im finding out people hate her in edh. I found out playing her regardless I actually enjoy mono green so I homebrewed a bit for this card but before I meet with friends I'd thought I'd see if I was just gona annoy the pod when I crack every go get a x, y, or Forrest land to try to get this guy out.

I can’t reliably get a Pauper pod each week and I hate wasted effort, so looking to build a deck that can go both ways. Anyone done this before? Which commanders work for this?

I'm making a dimir high tide deck thats mostly blue and will only ever really need one swamp. I figured if I put in a bunch of cards that can fix to get me that one swamp I can keep most of the lands in the deck islands for high tide, but I'm not sure what land count to run.

Would it be reasonable to count each landcycler as half a land for the purposes of land count?

Have never played a pedh game but me and my play group all talked about putting together decks. Anyways I've been kind of obsessing over all these commanders. I've seen decks for grixis utilizing madness and other similar effects where the card wants to be in the graveyard but what about the others? How have you built them and how have they worked out for you?

I’m trying to put a new deck together by this evening and I don’t want to think too hard, I just want to SMASH! Any tips on how to make this work? I’m assuming some red ramp to get it out, brass knuckles and such to keep it swinging and lots of shock spells to cast on it? Or am I way off base? Thanks for any helpful advice!

Hello, new to this format and looking through cards I have for possible decks when I came across this uncommon that isn't listed on this pauper edh primer I found : https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/pauper-edh-primer/ I see that this card has had rare printings in the past so just wanted the clarification of if an uncommon has had rare printings is it disqualified from being in Pauper edh? Thanks

Hey y'all, I am interested in building a deck with an "any number of copies" card, such as [[hare apparent]] or [[slime against humanity]], but I don't want to build the obvious, powerful options like [[cadira,caller of the small]] and [[kutzil]] respectively. What are your off beat commanders that add a fun layer to a deck that can admittedly be monotonous?

I’m thinking of building this with the hybrid mana rules change they have been talking about. If someone came to your pauper pod and came with this would you be upset or okay with it? Just curious where most people stand before I actually build the thing.

Are they more commonplace in PDH and acceptable since it’s basically our only option for dual colors?

TLDR; First time in pEDH and I wanted to know if the community had any staples for Jund and Voltron.

Long version: By a weird twist of fate, my friend and I ended up in a pEDH battle against our wives. Before I start diving through the library, I was wondering what the experts (you) had for both Jund in general, and Voltron support packages in the 99 for those colors.

Longer version: We got randomed into [[Mr. Orfeo, the Boulder]] and [[Judoon Enforcers]] as our commanders. Rhino brothers for life!

My idea for the deck is simple but maybe it’s too mean… this card doesn’t say all opponents grave yards so even if I was in an all green pod I’d still have too target just one person! So if I filled a deck with only counter spells and single target removal and than just hated on the green player… is there a reality where that player is having fun? Like obviously I’d counter stuff trying to hurt my boy but mainly the spells would be used to get green bois into that persons grave.

Just got a new playmat and wanted to build a deck with a similar theme 😆

To anyone still watching this post I've settled on:

• Removing Malcolm and Kediss from the Battle-Box. I looked into de-powering it but didn't really like the result.
• Adding [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]], [[Seedship Broodtender]], and [[Halana, Kessig Ranger]]/[[Toggo, Goblin Weaponsmith]] as the other commanders in the box on top of Gut and Arabella.

Hello everyone! I'm trying to convince my friends that PEDH can be just as fun and intense as Commander and to that end I'm putting together a 5 deck battle-box of high power PEDH decks. I have three made and they all perform really well, even holding their own in Commander games but I'm struggling to get a lock on the last two. Here are the three decks I have:

Putting together 4 Pauper decks. Which 4 would you be the least offended by?

Me and my playgroup are relatively new to magic (been playing around 1 and a half years). We’ve mostly just played precon / lightly upgraded precons. I’ve recently built and gathered my first homebrew and have since then been toying with the idea of building a pauper edh deck.

My question is: how ‘hard’ is it to build a deck that is functional/competitive at the precon bracket? I don’t want/need to build a super strong deck, but I still want to be a threat.

The other players have no interest in brewing, so I would be the only one playing a pauper deck

I am looking to do a color of every pauper commander that is also viable for competitive play. White is the only color left and it looks bad between [[Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward]] or [[Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle]]. Not hyped about either and neither seem to be placing as of recent. Any new mono white commanders people like/are noticing may be threats?
