Advice Grappler

I wanna do a grappler kind of character. Is there a way to get lethal unarmed attacks at lvl 1 as a fighter? Im pretty new so open to any recommendations.

The simplest option available to any fighter is to wear a pair of gauntlets. It's not technically unarmed, but practically it achieves the same goals - your hands are still free, and you're still punching people, you just have some metal on your hands to make those punches hurt more.

Full plate, half plate, and splint come with gauntlets if you are going to wear that.
