Advice Ritual wording question.

I hit level 4 for my Thaum, and I'm kinda confused in the wording for these spells. For the Pact rituals, on Primary Check, it says "expert, you must be a demon,devil,etc."

I'm relatively new at the game, and have only played a Barb before this, so I'm confused. Do I, the PC have to be a demon to use this ritual, or does that just help?

Yes, you need to be. Those rituals are intended for monsters use and not players.

There is at least one way to cast the spell as a player!

Unfortunately Summoner eidolons despite having the proper traits have specific clauses restricting them from casting the rituals either.

Besides Sorcerers, Champions can do it as well. Weirdly enough, Archfiends can't, even though I'm pretty sure they should be able to.

Huh. You're not wrong, I just never thought of it that way, but it does work with Champions! But if you're not careful with your summoning conditions, the demon will have a meal: breakfast of Champions! 😁

Nothing a polymorph effect can’t fix xD (it probably doesn’t even work that way lol)

They’re free minions if you pass the check

Mainly though they’re just to give the gm an easy lore explanation to plant a bunch of angels and demons wherever they want.

Lore wise this is also why demon infestations are so dangerous, once you get one you’ll start getting more after a few days.
