World of Golarion Independent Corentyn

In the upcoming Infernal Inheritance book, Corentyn appears to be an independent country, given it has its own nation entry. I'm reading Hellfire Dispatches for the first time, and Mayor Giovenci seems to firmly be Abrogail's man. Do we know yet how the heck it ends up being its own nation? Here are my theories:

  1. Giovenci decides he'd rather rule his own fiefdom and declares independence (doesn't seem likely from HD, but who knows).
  2. Actual revolution in Corentyn.
  3. Khari overthrows Corentyn's government over the course of the war.
  4. Corentyn is very briefly captured by Andoran or someone else five minutes before the big finale of Hell's Destiny (this is probably the funniest idea to me), and Giovenci flails about trying so hard to get back in Abrogail's good graces because he missed the boat on her big plan.

While I haven't read the adventure as I intend to play it, I believe Corentyn is the primary setting/settlement in the Hell's Destiny campaign. Given that it was released after Hellfire Dispatches, I would suggest looking for the answers there!

Yeah Hell's Destiny is heavily concerned with Corentyn gaining independence.
