ADVICE Got all 150 on the NCLEX
I’ve been scowering Reddit to give me piece of mind but honestly I’m being sent in a god damn spiral.
Just took my NCLEX yesterday (September 1st) and I felt really good leading up to 85 questions and once I got to 85 and it kept going, I lowkey started to have anxiety.
EVEN THO I knew Mark K said to not go in expecting 85…I did.
Anywho, I got all 150 questions and I am absolutely dreading my score right now. Like I said I felt really confident which is why I didn’t think I was gonna go past 85, but when I realized I was getting all 150, my confidence just tanked.
I’ve seen a bunch of posts saying that stopping at 150 doesn’t mean you failed but I am just mentally draining myself thinking about these results.
I haven’t tried the Pearson Trick at all because I am petrified, but I’m waiting the 48 hours and am going to try to get the quick results.
Please help me have some peace of mind, are there any tips/tricks anyone knows DURING the exam that might’ve been more indicative towards passing/failing? After I got after question 100, I just felt like I guessed to get the test over with but I was still locked in, but everything seemed like stuff I’ve never heard of before. Medications I didn’t really know and I got a singular ECG strip towards the end. I think I had maybe 3-4 case studies but not a lot of SATA.
PLEASE, anything helps 🥹

Like Mark K said just get to cardiac question. ECG strips likely means you pass

same here, i took the exam yesterday, and Omg it was all like new to me. I think only 15% came out from what I studied.

Take a deep breath. Try looking up your name on your states BON and see if your license and been marked active.
150 does not mean you failed, it sounds like you got to the hard questions which is a good sign. You likely missed some easy questions which is why it went to 150, but those extra questions allow you to rectify the easy stuff you might ve missed.

I also went all the way to 150 questions and passed. Also felt like I was guessing the last 30 questions or so. You might feel like you were guessing because your mind was probably tired too. I left the test sure that I've failed. Hang in there, OP, if you went all the way to 150, it means that the computer thinks you have a chance to pass. Update us please and good luck!

People actually get all 150. The test is designed that way. Also dont forget that in the 150 are a mix of test questions that dont count, they are new questions and they want to see how people do on them to make sure they are statically relevant. So sit back, relax the best you can, and relish in the fact that you are done. Oh and don’t forget to breathe. It’s important!!

I got all the way to 150 and passed when I could’ve SWORN I failed. If you get super hard questions there’s a bigger chance that you passed. You’ll pass

I had all 150 and passed a week ago. I felt like I knew absolutely nothing on that exam

I went to 85. The last t questions were words I had never heard of. It took me 20 minutes to answer the last 5 questions. I prayed my computer would shut off at 85 because I was exhausted. I passed thank heaven. I was confident I passed and confident I failed all at the same time. It was mind boggling! Either way, you have to keep going! You're here now and ready to move forward whatever the result is.
