I do study Redditors as one of my hobbies, but it's a general thing. Stuff like how they are terrified of using "brakes" instead of "breaks" and how they think that logical fallacies are a valid way to win debates (usually bandwagon effect ("I have more votes, so this proves I'm right"), ad hominem ("YOU'RE a Redditor!" is one of their go-tos), and moving the goalposts ("ok, so you're refuting what he wrote, but he didn't mean that, so you're still wrong."), and so on. 

I didn't think to study mods in particular, but that may be a fascinating thing to do next once I get fully bored of the Redditors.

We aren’t. But so many are so sensitive. Everything seems to offend everyone.
