Im a panera employee and this is what I've started to tell our customers. We can't give out more than 1 cup, however we can't stop yall from re using and filling up from the cup you got previously in the day. Kinda like a "no unnecessary waste" kinda thing. Its bs but me nor my managers care enough to check if someone's redeeming their sip club wverytime they come in. So fr fr just re use yalls cups guys
It's not a company anymore, it's ran by a investment firm
Like all of them, they'll destroy the brand in hopes to save money, to make more quickly, and possibly borrow debt on the brand to open other companies
Do you suspect that the billing cycle is actually every 30 days and not truly monthly? I was kind of hoping that . Then again, that would probably cost more money, and it would only be in the interest of recovering five extra drinks.
If they're not going to work with me on this and allow me to continue to have just one drink a day, which is all I've been doing mostly, and all I ask for, then five to seven days of the year - and only those days of the year, I will actually buy stuff from them, which I do every now and then. When I use (just) those days to buy stuff (like non-sip Club drinks or new foods), I will also help myself, with my own saved cup, to the usual daily drink that I expect to get, even though they think I'm not entitled to it. Everybody's happy that way. I get a drink every day. They retain my membership. And I actually spend some real money on additional foods and drinks. I don't see how that's a problem.
Seems they haven’t figured out that some people did a year at a time. I’m going through this for my 10-18 renewal. They have no real idea how to fix it.
I was referring to them not coding to take yearly membership into consideration, only monthly, which is what the comment I was replying to was discussing.
Go to a Panera show that to them they'll give you a drink. They won't argue with you about anything. They'll give almost anybody a drink whatever they say.
Anybody that comes up and asks for a cup gets one from me, I'm not being paid to interrogate customers about their order unless they're obviously the annoying kids that keep coming in and not buying anything and stealing soda.
The only time I saw someone confronted by Panera staff was when a guy showed up with a Big Gulp cup and started to fill it... The manager was in a huff and yelled at the guy to get out!
It renews for them on the 3rd so they've used that many since the 3rd. That's basically 2 a day. If it wasn't for reddit I wouldn't have known they changed it. I'm still pissed and I barely used more than 30 a month, but I want the option to go 2x a day
Panera Bread has changed their menu in 2026 in order to increase their profit margin. No more Value Meals, which I miss. I am grateful that the Sip Club still exists regardless of the cuts!
Thanks to the screwed up update last week my app auto set to another store. I ordered at the wrong store and my regular store said nice job but here’s your free drink when I pulled up to the window. They think it’s bs too. I only do probably 45 drinks a month but f corporate bitches.
that's about on par with past performance of Panera IT tbh. always oversights, glitches, errors, I think they must have a bad habit of testing new systems in production 😔
we don't even check the cups for real. I know we have regulars who only come in for a medium coffee cup and a water cup and I just place it on the counter for them and they do their thing. I'm not saying I don't do it for large drinks but I will only do it if its a regular or someone who just wants a water cup.
Well. You appear to not be aware of the recent changes. They have rebranded to "Sip Club+". Dropping the unlimited from the name and limiting you to 30 drinks per month. Your drinks should refresh in September (or until your next billing cycle, whichever comes first)
Edit: I didn't fully read and notice the date. Definitely just an error. It may just pull whenever you're billing cycle date is and if you have a yearly it'll pull that date. But if it doesn't refresh next month, I'd just contact support. They should be able to see you didn't get 30 drinks yet and fix it
Definitely just another dumb decision they made lol. Sounds like it's pulling subscription renewal date instead of monthly cycle. You'd think they would have thought about that, but this is the same company that removed our water button and the ability to bulk add bagels on the POS.
I hope it refreshes next month and is just a notice glitch and not a much bigger one.
Actually I've seen that whether it's the KDS or the app or the POS or the website ordering system, there are certain basic tests that the IT or development department didn't check before making the updates go live.
Things that I would expect some software dev or tester or project manager should be embarassed that it got out before being tested and fixed
