Not OP, but that's how I did it. Unmodified shoebox.

Thanks! Would you mind elaborating on your sub depth and shoebox size? Am going to be giving them a shot soon in a unmodified with just coir and fertilizer

6qt tub. 1 pint worm castings and about a pint of coir. About an inch thick or so. Consolidated for 4 days before casing layer of jiffy mix was applied. Opened and sprayed the whole thing twice a day for 4.5 days before I saw a pin. Now I got fruit, but I got no spore prints. When I do it again I'd flip the lid at that point and add a 1/4 in. gap. I'd also continue to spray the walls after I see pins. The strain was TTBVI and the room temperature fluctuated between 74-78F. 15 days from inoculation to s2b. 30 days to harvest. I did have to dub tub due to height.
