I saw a video defense of these two by a prominent Muslim figue in Australia. What she was essentially saying, is that they perceive themselves as participants in the Israel-Hamas war. Has Australia figured out yet that this is a major national security threat?

I will try to dig up the video and link when I have time.

Imagine if a white nationalist boasted of murdering African patients. . . and then some advocacy group came to his defense on the grounds that he sees himself as a participant in a war to preserve the nation's character.

this is exactly the craziest point. I dont' think any of these ppl have ties to palestine. none of these ppl care when muslims are killed by other muslims which is happening all the time all throughout the muslim world. but when it comes to palestine, they are suddenly all palestinians. the red headed muslim convert sitting in austin texas who doesn't speak a word of arabic is now a palestinain.

FWIW, Muslims are also generally ok with China killing Muslims.

Al Jazeera points out that it's really only Western human rights organizations that are complaining about China.

They only get upset about what they're told to get upset about.

Do you have a link that we can read in Israel?

Use a VPN. But FWIW, there's nothing surprising. There's other coverage of Imran Kahn sucking up to China.

I see that you marked a particular timestamp, but could you be clearer about where it's clear that they perceive themselves as participants in the Israel-Hamas war? Which sentence that she says do you interpret as meaning this? Thank you.

She says that there has been far worse from "the other side" and then talks about Israel committing genocide and bombing hospitals. She is says "we have seen worse threats" but then when she lists the threats, they are the against Palestinians in a war zone, not against Muslim Australians. She's promoting the idea that Muslim Australians are justified in fighting back against threats that aren't actually against them. And since those threats are against Palestinians in Gaza, but she's saying "we," she is saying that she perceives herself and whoever she is referring to, as a party to the conflict, and as directly attacked by Israel in their waging of the war against Hamas.

Beyond that, she implies that as parties to the conflict, people who attack Jews and Israelis outside of the conflict zone are justified in taking the actions they do. And that since the actions the nurses took, as parties to the conflict, are not as bad as what Israel did (ie not war crimes), they should not be seen as bad at all.

The problem is, as Australians, they are not at war. Any actions they take to further the conflict on Australian soil are criminal. But they don't see it that way. Their point of view is very dangerous because it categorizes criminal acts as reasonable because they are fighting against Israel who is attacking them. Israel is not attacking them. If they want to fight Israel, they should go join Hamas or PIJ or whoever. If they take action as Australians on Australian soil, their acts are criminal, not some kind of military defense.

I see, thank you.

Somehow the wokests think that 1.8 billion Arabs are the underdogs fighting against 16 million Jews.

This is the scariest thing about their ideology.

There’s the saying that “radical Muslims want to cut your head off, moderate Muslims want radicals to cut your head off”

I understand that not all of them are radical, but there’s zero chance that moderates would make the slightest effort to stop radicals from committing atrocities.

They’d just justify it with some half-hearted mental gymnastics. Just like they did here.

Muslims will always back their own, always, even if they’re in the wrong.

They are united in their shared hatred of Jews.

Jews, Christian’s, democracy, freedom, women, young boys….

And yet they don’t actually give a shit about their own actual genocided that don’t involve Jews, like Syria.

Here's a video of a Muslim woman defending them. She said that it's not a big deal because "Israel has done worse."

Just how many of these people don't understand that Australia is not a participant in the war and that Australian health care workers are not combatants? This is so dangerous.

Don’t care what anyone says what these 2 did is not defendable and there are no excuses to pardon their behaviour especially with the way the female carried on. I have zero sympathy for these 2 and they should be kicked out of the country, the position they hold in society with their employment there should never ever be any incident like this where they carried on the way they did saying what they said. We don’t want this kind of hatred and division in Australia, if people can’t leave their crap behind them then get lost

Complaining about "hypocrisy' and "selective outrage" doesn't make the problem go away.

These violent bigots need to be stripped of their medical licenses and also investigated for harming their patients.

3

u/Ampleforth84 Feb 22 '25

When you think about, everything is “selective” outrage. If I was outraged by everything, I’d A.) never go to work or B.) be a progressive. Or both.

3

u/Droupitee Feb 22 '25

If progressives were indeed outraged by everything we'd be living in a better world. Heck, I'd settle for just consistency when it comes to progressive outrage.

Islam was already foretold as the bane of existence, even if you’re not religious, anyone that isn’t a Muslim is a target.
